Chris Shinn posted a TV Segment on YouTube about his father. Chris can be spotted sitting next to his father various times throughout the segment (1st one starting around the 1:50 mark):

I believe I have this show recorded on mini-disc. A decent recording too except the mic was close to a garbage can and you can occassionally hear a clinking glass of bottles being thrown in there. I was going to call the recording "bloodlet" cuz CT cut his thumb on his guitar string and was bleeding all over . Anybody out there there who can convert from mini-disc to a PC compatible file?? If there is I will try to find it.

Put this in the holy shit fall out of your seat category. Let me start by saying chris shinn has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. As a diehard melonhead I had the Luma EP as soon as I could get my hands on it. FullFlavor and Not Dead, are two of my favorite songs ever. Got to meet him in Boston in 2000 and hung out after a show. At one point, in the drunken evening I remember him picking up my sister in law and twirling her over his head. Flat out out good f'ing dude.
Fellow Melon fans I turned onto the UT tunes and I always referred to him as chris "make a shoehorn outta my" shinn (skinned).
Now, having been the lead editor on ESPN's Outside the Lines program for 5 years I often did features on the likes of George Shinn, most notably when he moved the franchise from charlotte, but mostly the hatred spewed his way when after Hurricane Katrina he attempted to move the hornets to Oklahoma City while New Orleans tried desperatly to recover especially it's financial infrastructure. Noted snake in the grass Saints Owner Tom Benson also tried to skip town, when the going was tough. Anyway, I began referring to him at the time as George "make shoehorn outta my" Shinn. I never put two and two together. I often would quote George from a piece we did on him, where when he was trying to sell people on the idea of moving to oklahoma city he said "I'm gonna chop your head off before I leave..." in a high pitched southern accent. just meaning simply selling you on his idea. Anyway having researched him in detail, and because I have a great deal of respect and admiration for his son I will keep my personal thoughts on the guy to myself, now that said, last week I was quoting him again, while editin this Shaq O'neill make a wish, and the producer asked where the quote came from, I did a search for George, who I had not really heard about for a couple years , and the photo came up with chris in it, I literally almost fell out of my chair, I had no f'ing idea that was his son. I see matt you posted that photos last dec. WOW. I do like in that write up earlier in the post about Chris saying simply his father relocated his business from NC to New Orleans. I got a chuckle out of that.
Just a very strange moment I thought I would share.

I have a few copies.
The songs are just: Cessna, Passive, Self Medicate, and One Less. All the tunes can be found on the 2 UT albums.
