has anyone else seen this? www.imdb.com/title/tt0469494/My favorite movie of the year so far, I'm counting it my favorite for last year too cause thats when it was released. Its about a man (daniel day-lewis) in the early 1900's becoming a oil tycoon in the early days of that business. He starts out a religious family man and we see his transformation caused by greed and wealth. Daniel day-lewis is quite possibly my favorite actor of today so that being said I might be a little biased on the movie but I would find it hard to imagine others can't se Lewis's mad acting skillz, he is a method actor en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Method_actor and I think it shows in every movie he has done. Anyways if you get the chance to see this I highly doubt you will think you didn't get your money's worth.

I first started liking Daniel Day Lewis when he did Last of the Mohicans. Amazing flick. Then I lost him for a bit and rediscovered him in Gangs of New York. He is a very gifted actor.

i saw it and.....hmmm......i think it might be a bit overrated. daniel day lewis, while a great actor, seemed to be overacting most of the time. i never believed his character as a 'real person'...always as a caricature of john huston. the movie is long, too- not that I am against long movies, but it felt long for no good reason at some points.
there were also some pretty big plot holes and odd story mechanics going on. I've talked to several others that have seen it and no one can answer some of the plot questions i have. Again...not that a story needs to be clear and explain itself, but i dont think these vaguenesses were on purpose.
im personally very glad that No Country won the oscar. My favorite movie of the year by far.

Watched it the other night with my bro. Loved it. Unlike "No Country For Old Men" this ending satisfied...

I just loved this movie, watched it last night. Its completely not what I expected, it could almost be a dark comedy. I loved it!

Definitely a very dark comedy I'm finished Anyone see the SNL parody of it? Its fucking hilarious, daniel plainview starts a tv show called "I drink your milkshake" and Anton from no country for old men makes a appearance. www.funnyordie.com/videos/62b8e516fe

I didn't really care for it that much to be honest, it could have been way better if they changed a few things. The acting was good though.

i really loved this movie. even though the ending was a bit drawn out, it surpassed as a good one in my book. Daniel day never gives less then a dramatic yelling performance. in which, i never get bored of. no country was great, and it Is based off of a book. so i don't hold them for writing responsibilities, just directorial and production.
