I just saw "No Country for Old Men" last night. It is one strange movie. It is quite intriguing. The ending leaves a little bit to be desired, but overall, it is a very interesting film. Has anyone else seen it yet? www.nocountryforoldmen-themovie.com

oh i agree 100% with you Ryan... it was so great for the first 2hrs, then the last 20 completely sucked... it is as if they lost a bunch of footage which would have constituted an ending, or the Coen bros just gave up at the end... disappointing cause the movie had great potential...

Hell Yeah- great movie, great ending. I sat there in my seat for a few minutes listening to everybody mumble WFT!!!!! Later on it hit me. The sheriff just had to let it all pass by if he wanted to live out his nice life. He had not way to stop a Prophet of Destruction.

The sheriff just had to let it all pass by if he wanted to live out his nice life. He had not way to stop a Prophet of Destruction. true that is how it ends and i got it, but it is a really really WEAK way of ending a great movie... personally i didnt think Tommy Lee Jones was needed, or alternatively his presence was needed more, perhaps getting so close to catching him but not, at no point was he anyway relevant, especially that scene in the house with the guy in the wheelchair... and the killer's getaway was a little half arsed... plus they knew all along who the killer was, in the real world it wouldnt have taken long to catch him cause there are things called public announcements and news reports that would help to public recognise him, especially since he wasnt wearing a disguise... a movie should be on the screen, what you see is what you get, and you shouldnt have to wait until you get home and think more and more about it to decide if it is a good ending or not... it should be on the spot...

I have a different opinion then you on this.^^
I think the reason I went to see 'No County' was exactly because it is not your ordinary Hollywood BS movie. Its good that is gets people all fired up trying to figure out what they just watched. I dont go to see hardly any movies nowadays because 95% are so lame and predictable. I love movies that I am still thinking about 3 days later.
I didnt get the old dude with the cats either. But I think that conversation was a pretty important part of the movie. I cant wait to watch it again.
Later Jim

I loved it, though it will need a couple more screenings for me to fully enjoy it I think.
