I understand why they bring in special guests...it gives them someone to explain things to so the audience will understand what they are doing, and it keeps the conversation going. On the normal episodes they just edit everything together, but on the live episodes they can't just walk around not talking b/c it would be boring. I do think the wrestlers add a bit of unintentional humor. CM Punk didn't seem to be too interested in the investigation last year. I think Elijah was a lot more entertaining. Personally I would prefer that the live episodes just feature TAPS members, but I guess they are trying to get ratings.

What did you guys think of the reveal episode? That place definitely looks haunted to me.

I did. I think that place is totally haunted. I started watching the second half...did they end up catching anything on "the big man with the boo boo on his head?"

OMG, you didn't finish watching that part? They caught some incredibly freaky footage of "the man with the boo boo on his head". They caught an image of a man sitting in a rocking chair in the mom's room. It's some of the best evidence I've ever seen them capture. That house is haunted for sure. I would move the hell out of there if it were me.

I think the best part of the reveal was how they kept showing Elijah freaking out. My stomach hurt from laughing so hard. I feel bad for him, his ego must be a little deflated after having that reaction.
I think they got some cool evidence at Waverly, especially the ball moving on its own, but I thought they got much better evidence of the "man with the boo boo on his head". That made the episode totally worth it.

I usually end up watching Ghost Hunters all night on Wednesdays. did you happen to catch the midnight episode? i believe it was from early in the show, but they investigated a guy named Adam's house who moved in after his grandparents died. he had a feeling that they were still with him in the house. The investigation was really quiet and nobody thought they caught anything, but they picked up a few EVPs when they were reviewing the evidence. one of them said "I miss Adam" pretty clear as day. Really creepy.

That episode sounds familiar, I'm pretty sure I've seen it, but not recently. Did you catch the episode that was on before the Waverly reveal? It was the Halloween episode from 2005 when they were investigating a bar in Savannah, GA? They caught some awesome video evidence in that episode.
The EVP's freak me out when it seems like they really are trying to communicate.
Usually the episodes that have the best evidence make me scared to go to sleep when they're over. Some of the shit they catch is so creepy.

I've seen the "I miss Adam" episode...that really sweet in a scary as hell kind of way. EVP's scare me. I can't stand listening to them. I think it's amazing to be able to catch them but I would never be able to live with it.
I remember seeing the part with the guy in the rocking chair...freaky as hell. I'm with you guys...I'd get the hell out and send the movers to get my stuff. I would be scared as hell!

I was rather disappointed with the halloween reveal. I was hoping for some really awesome stuff, but it was still good. The second part was insane. I would be out of that house sooo fast!

I just saw my first episode of Ghost Hunters, and it's a very interesting show. I saw an episode where they were investigating a Victorian era house in Massachusetts. I finally have cable at home, so I need to try and catch this show again when I get back home. I saw this episode because I'm at my paren'ts house for Thanksgiving and doing lots of nothing. But I guess I don't need to really need to watch TV to find ghosts because I'm in New Orleans, and this town is esteeped in paranormal history. On a side note, I never gave ghosts much thought at all (whether they were real or not) until I lived in a certain house after I got out of college. I can elaborate further if anyone is interested, but let's just say that I definitely believe in the existence of ghosts after having lived there. . .

In 2001, my friends and I rented a house near Carter Lake, Colorado and the people that we rented it from used to live there, and over the years they had lots of foster kids come and go through the house.
So I started to just feel creeped out in the house altogether, but when I went into the basement rooms, it would quite often feel extremely cold (even though it was a finished basement with heating). But whatever basements are creepy and cold to begin with.
I noticed that one of the basement rooms had writing on the baseboards and the door to the room. It said things like "I hate Robin!" and "I'll show you!" and "I hate you all!" (Robin was the surrogate mother of these foster children)
Anyways, one of the foster girls that had lived at the house when she was younger worked down at the marina cafe near the reservoir. We got to talking with her and she told us this story that filled in the holes in the story. . .
At one point the family had taken in a foster boy who was very troubled emotionally. Well one day when the Father had planned to take the whole family out on the boat on the reservoir, he told this young boy that he could not come with the family because he had been misbehaving all week. And as punishment he had to stay at home in his room while the rest of the family went out on the lake.
Well, when the family returned from their outing, the young boy had hung himself from the ceiling in that basement room. Well, needless to say this story revealed why the basement had felt so damn creepy and why there were those statements scribbled on the door and the baseboards.
Well we thought it was quite strange that the family had never had the writing removed to set their minds at ease. Well, when we checked the door and baseboards after having heard the story from this grown-up foster daughter, the writing was gone. No living person had removed it. The writings had just vanished.
Up to that point in my life, I had never really had a strong opinion about ghosts either way. I have no doubts about the existence of ghosts these days. Of course how, where and when they manifest themselves is another thing. But I definitely believe in the existence of ghosts. . .

That is too creepy Ryan. I would have run when the writing disappeared! I think it's especially scary when someone died tragically, either as an accident or a suicide.
