Gandhi has so many good quotes. Here's one of my favorites from him:
"An eye for an eye, only makes the world blind." - Mahatma Gandhi

"It is better to have loved and lost, than to never to have loved at all..."
But is it really?
Guess it depends on the day right? #idea#

"Success is not forever and failure isn't fatal." -Ken Blanchard and Don Shula
This was Don Shula's favorite quote when he was head coach of the Miami Dolphins.
He had a 24 hour rule. He allowed himself, his coaches, and his players a maximum of 24 hours after a footbal game to celebrate a victory or bemoan defeat. During that time, they were encouraged to experience the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat as deeply as possible. Once the 24 hour deadline had passed, they put it behind them and focused their energies on preparing for the next opponent. This is a principle well worth noting.
(this quote and "discussion" came from the book, "Heart of a Leader" , by Ken Blanchard)

BEE~Happy~, that is a great quote, and a very good explanation behind the quote. It's important to experience pain or love in this lifetime if one is to truly experience life. And without being open to both sides of it, you can't fully experience what life has to offer.
That quote ^^^ made me think of this one below, not because they address the same issues necessarily, but because of the word "success."
“Try not to become a man of success but rather to become a man of value.” - Albert Einstein

When reading the "news" these days, I can't help but think of this quote from Mark Twain:
"If you don't read the newspaper you are uninformed; if you do read the newspaper you are misinformed."

There's some great quotes here! This sort of reminds of Shannon and the way he lived his life.
My candle burns at both ends; It will not last the night; But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends-- It gives a lovely light!
Edna St. Vincent Millay
