Has anyone else seen this movie? Or read the book? I read the book years ago, somewhere in the late nineties. It was right before I went off on my little hippie ramble, and it really had a huge impact on me at the time... I guess it kind of slipped away over time. Now there's a movie version of it, which totally caught me by surprise. I didn't think anyone really paid any attention to the book, and I never saw any previews for it or anything. Anyway, seen it? I really think it would be special for a lot of my beloved melons.... It's all about the energy, and people finding their strength and peace from within oneself and from the beauty that surrounds us rather than constantly battling amongst ourselves to steal each other's energies. Sounds interesting, doesn't it?

Yes, I have read this book about 10 or so years ago. Such great information. It was right about when I read the Road Less Traveled. I remember the first sentence of that book is "Life isn't fair". I believe the rest of the book goes on to help the reader to understand that we have to do things to make our lives the way we want it. That it is't supposed to be super-easy...
I love all of those books. It allows me to explore being the spiritual person that I am without being commited to a specific religion.
Have you seen the movie Charity? I just saw it at Movie Gallery, and it caught my eye. I am not a huge fan of seeing movies after I have read the book... what did you think?

I read about half the book a few years ago. I was borrowing it from a friend and I returned it before I finished it. I really liked what it said about how nothing is coincidence and how everything happens for a reason. I honestly do believe that. I have always intended to finish reading it but I never have. I really should find more time to sit and read novels. I used to be a bookworm growing up, now that I'm married and have little kids the only things I read are textbooks, newspapers, sometimes magazines, and the forum. ;D
