Hey melons! we were just having a conference (we still are though jeej) .. and Mario (Mariogeronimo) came with an idea that gabbe and I thought it was pretty cool... we all know BM have lots of fans all over the world, and sadly not all of them speak english... so this is the idea: well the idea is to have a section in the forum with different threads in other languages (not english, cause thats the one we already have jeje), so the point is not to split the melons because of the language... but to help people that can't speak english, so that way they wouldn't feel they're out of the family just because they can't speak the language. after that I thought, well it'd be really difficult to have just one admin/mod trying to work on that section, cause there isnt anyone taht speaks 10 languages (that I know of jeje)... so i think the mods/admins would need to have a lot of help from us (the ones that speak another language), so if the mods that are with taht section don't speak spanish and theres something important (like breaking forum's rules or a big argument) someone (like mario or me or whoever that wants to help) would let the mods know about the problem I thought i should talk to mer or matt about it, but then gabbee said it'd be a good idea if we posted it here to know if there was enough or any interest from melons to do this kind of sections in the forum so let us know what u think about it Elva

As wonderful as this idea is we aren't allowed to do it. Proboards Terms of Service state the forum MUST BE IN ENGLISH. www.proboards.com/tos.htmlI will ask the head honchos at proboards to see if we can have a "spanish" section, however I do not think they will allow it.

I think It's a great idea I'm wondering if there something that does translations I think I have heard about something like that. Not sure tho Either way I'd hate to think that some melons are being left out because it's hard for them to communicate. WARNING: I'll be on there all the time saying what? I dont understand!Type slower please #googlyeyes#

I just got a message back, the answer was NO.
However maybe we can make a more viewable link to the Chilean forum?

That was good idea, it's a shame it can't happen though. My only reservation about it though is that each forum (apart from the Spanish one), I assume, would have very little activity that it probably wouldn't be worthwhile having the subsection - for example, I doubt there are enough French speakers for a French subsection to be worth having - it would probably only have a few threads... Also, you'd have to signpost this forum as forum that's not just English - just by having a language section, you're not going to attract non-English speakers - so you'd have to advertise that this forum is multilingual, if you see what I mean But yeah, a link to the Chilean forum would be good, as Spanish is the second most popular language here ^ By the way, could you replace the 'Chile loves Blind Melon' emoticon with this one, Meredith? The text is black on the other one, so you can't see it
