I was wondering if anyone on the forum knew how to put an actual picture on to a DVD is there any way of doing this . I am not talking about putting on the DVD in the sense people think (thats pretty self explanatory) I am talking about like when you buy a DVD and it has an image on it. I hope I make sense, and hoep someone could answer my question

Yea Exactly like the picture that is put on manufactured DVDs, I just think it would make a homemade DVD more professional.

There is all kinds of software out there that allows you to make labels. My dvd burning software has a label making feature and a cover art feature.

I did artwork for all the Melon DVDs I have... I used SureThing to make the covers... Also used Photoshop to create logos and funk with images.

my friend had some program that made a sticker out of the picture and it came with this special plastic contraption so that you could put it on the cd just right. the problem was that the sticker was kind of thick and when i put it in my cd player in my car it got jammed in there. i had to get tweezers and jam them in there to pull the cd out.
bbbbuuuutttt with dvd's i don't think you have to worry about them getting jammed. ;D

Some printers will print a sticker which you apply to the DVD.
Other printers will print on the actual DVD, and you need to buy discs that have printable surfaces (because not all of them have printable surfaces).
And then there are some new burners that will etch a disc. And what I mean by etch, is that it will burn away part of the matte finishing in select placesw to show the glossy part underneath the matte finish. The result is that you can etch text and/or simple photos onto the disc. No ink is required, but you have to have specific kinds of blank discs, and you have to have a burner that etches. . .

Umm would an inkjet computer work. I have 5 printers all for different reasons. I mentioned an iron, cause I used to do silk screening and there is a process where after you burn the image on the shirt you can iron. Thanks everyone for your help. Happy Queen Victoria Day Canadians

I don't think you'd want to iron a label on a plastic disc...
