Today March 22 is World Water Day. Over a billion people on the planet don't have access to healthy water. In my opinion, we in the U.S. and Canada are fooling ourselves if we think that we do. I thought you might consider taking a moment today to think about the role of water in your life. We may take it for granted but if you ever experience times where you are without water for even a few hours you realize how many things we use water for, from drinking, to cooking, to washing, to using water in appliances like humidifiers, water purificators, etc, etc.

Yeah and it's not gonna last for a long time if we all don't do something about it. Not only water, but also Earth in general. I was just watching a TV show about it a few days ago and the scary thing is that even if we all individually take care of water and how much CO2 we produce, it's not enough. Something has to be done by all goverments, they said especially american cause the states produce like 5 times more of CO2 comparing to the average of the rest of the world. Of course, we still DO have to take care of it individually too; not consuming more electricty and water than what we really need, not driving when we can walk etc., a bike is a great solution when you can use it - excercise for the body and not polluting air. I didn't say nothing new here, but I think it's good to remind ourselves from time to time. I know for myself that I take care as much as I can. I think water is a pretty magic element. So essential for life, a big part of human body, and yet we can't breath in it, we can float on it and we can relax our body when we float on water more than anywhere else, at least I feel that way. It's like a gentle and powerful element at the same time. Ok, enough poesy

Some great points Barbaretta. What I hate is that all the places water and alternative sources of energy could be used they are not for the sake of money. It is sad though that water was the most purest thing, and now because of our atmosphere there is toxins, and chemicals and even pharmaceuticals in our water. The saddest thing is even in countries where water is readily available its gross cause its so polluted.

You know what is one of the most absurd facts? That we flush our toilets with drinkable water!!! What a waste. We can only dream this will change one day cause we would have to change the whole system in buildings/water services, I don't know how to call it but you know what I mean...

If you really want to change water there is a great website where you can buy Spring water systems www.cleanairpurewater.com/ This guy is incredible he will talk to you on the phone, and even sells instructions on how to install this system. The actual thing goes through 7 processes and the water you drink is unbelievable good. Its like drinking water from a fountain

Hydro generation yields some of the most energy, and as sooooo very clean!! Wind is very clean as well, but i'm not sure it yields as much as hydropower. Here is a small company from the town grew up in. they specialize in making small Hydro generators, so we as individuals, if we have the means, can do our part to use clean power. If you have a moment. take a look around the website. they ship to all over the world. www.microhydropower.com/they are called energy systems & Design

Thankyou Colin, Barb and Kevin for your input here. If I could afford to get one of those systems, I definately would!

It's not related only to water problems but it definitely includes them. Here's a petition online that will be handed to the world leaders/ministers at the next G8 summit in June. www.avaaz.org/en/climate_action_g8/
