i was always a big fan of Nirvarna. I wish they'ed have gotten bigger. They deserved more recognition than they got.

Ha, that's awesome, I'm listning to the Ljubljana show right now. Chris Novoselic is croatian, Croatia was a part of Yougoslavia, just like Slovenia so almost everyone here understands croatian although it's not the same language. Anyways, at one moment Chris says in croatian something like: "For everyone who doesn't know, this is our first time in Slovenia". I just found it cool hearing him say that in croatian And the whole room too, lol.

Well i think they got bigger after Cobain died... Cause they have recently overtaken Elvis as the highest earnings for a dead person/band... I guess sometimes we just take things for granted, and only realise their importance and greatness when they're gone...

I really loved Nirvana back in the day, I haven't listened to them much lately but I think its because I burnt myself out on them. I remember being a kid going with my Mom on this long road trip and listening to Nevermind over and over again on my walkman. I can't listen to that album now without thinking of the back roads in Kentucky and camping in the rain. I think Lyrically Nirvana has stood out and have remained brilliant and original, no other writing can even come close to trying be like them.

Smells Like Teen Spirit was the song of my generation. In my opinion they achieved cult status due to Kurts death only, Nirvana were amazing but they weren't the best band in the world ever. We had tickets to see them in '94, first of all Kurt took the overdose in Italy so the show was postponed. The show was then re-scheduled, but 2-3 weeks before it he killed himself. After that I kinda gave up on Nirvana for a few years. We actually watched Nirvana unplugged the other night and that show is still superb after all these years, it was nice to see Kurt smile so much.
