k. i've been listening to Soundgarden a lot recently, and i just had to comment on how amazing Chris's voice is. Even in Audioslave, his voice in non-faultering.
not to mention the feeling that comes through in Soundgarden as a whole. they're another band that was able to make beautiful music that made u want to die (as Sean Kinney puts it)

Not many people really bought into those cds, I did, they were great and a really great departure from what kind of music Chris is known for putting out.

Euphoria Morning is an amazing album. Preaching the End of the World, Disappearing One, Wave Goodbye...even the Temple of the Dog record - which was essentially a Chris Cornell solo album was largely overlooked save for Hunger Strike. But Call me a Dog, All Night Thing, Say Hello to Heaven, and Times of Trouble (same music different words as Pearl Jam's "Footsteps") are the best songs on the album IMO. I am a huge Chris Cornell fan. he's is second only to Shannon on my list of favorite vocalists. Actually my current wallpaper is a pic of Shannon and Chris together. I am definately looking forward to the solo album of his that is coming out in March. Though, I was really disappointed with the Revelations Audioslave disc afte absolutely LOVING Out of Exile.

The solo stuff happens to be my favorite of Chris Cornell. Like you said, tremendously under - rated.

Yes...forget to mention When I'm Down. That might be the best track on the whole album. it's been awhile since i listened to the whole thing straight through. must do that.

i think i remember reading somewhere that he was friends with blind melon Yeah, Chris Cornell's voice can soar. His range is truly amazing. I can still hear him screaming, "I'm goin' hungraaaaayaya!" He recently did the intro song on the new James Bond flick "Casino Royale".

Man,SoundGarden was one of my favorite bands for awhile.I still like the Audioslave cds.But I can't help but think of shannon when I hear AudioSlave or Velvet Revolver. Here are these musicians that didn't die & can still put out music.Too bad Shannon is not with us,making new music, which would still be all the original members(I believe)under the same name Blind Melon. Yes, The 2nd Audioslave cd was a bit of a letdown, I agree peanutsinapile.

But yeah...not up to par
