yeah I just got back from this in Glasgow on friday - amazing
the new band are so talented, but they can't be compared with the old, they aren't trying to acheive the same thing, they are totally independant of each other
Richard Fortus impressed me so much, he's a god! Robin Finck was good in the songs but his guitar solos on his own between songs were a bit annoying. Bumblefoot is just amazing, full stop. Tommy Stinson had a lot of sound issues & wasn't very well heard for alot of it.
Chris Pittman didn't seem to do anything except a few samples in Madagascar, Dizzy Reed is good as always. Brian Mantia couldn't do it so his drum tech filled in & it was spot on.
Also, Izzy came on for a few songs, he didn't really seem to be doing much but who cares...it's izzy! We were on the front barrier just slightly to the right for the whole show it was brilliant.
Axl Rose almost didn't show up, people were close to rioting, I was damn scared, luckily he came on an hour & a half late & no one care anymore 'cause he gave a damn good performance.
Turns out he was late because he was having a roast dinner...cunt.
Bullet For My Valentine & Towers Of London were great support acts too.

I saw them on the 26th of last month and then twice earlier this month.Great shows!.Axls voice was like back in the 80`s and early 90`s. The one thing i was disappointed in was Robin Finck.I don`t know what the hell he was trying to do with his guitar. Those 5-6 few min solos he did sounded terrible.Like he was starting on something and then all of a sudden stopped and started on something new and then stopped again and so on. Fortus on the other hand was fantastic!.
Too bad Izzy didn`t show up here in Scandinavia..Hope to see them soon again.

Yeah Robin Finck's long solos pissed me off, I was thinking 'ok, interesting but get on with it'
Fortus ruled, he has great energy & stage presence & of course he is a great guitar player

I saw them in Helsinki on the 5th this month and it was amazing. Axl's voice was great and he was in good shape running around the stage. Fincks solos were kinda boring and he made some mistakes but after all the whole band was great. It was best gig I've ever been to!

First off, that roast dinner story was confirmed bullshit by Richard Fortus.
And, secondly, does anyone have a complete bootleg of the Glasgow show?
