Just got back from the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert in Biloxi, MS. The opening act(3 Doors Down) was mediocre and monotonous sounding but Skynyrd was amazing. I was surprised because I have never heard the reformed Skynyrd before, only the original band up to Street Survivors. If you have a chance to see them but think they won't be great anymore just because they only have two original members don't have another doubt, they will be worth it. This was the last date of their tour with 3 Doors Down. Were any of you other Melons there?

I will definitely go see them if they come to Stockholm. Is Artimus Pyle still the drummer in the band?

Nope =(. Pyle left in '92 and the newest guy Michale Cartellone is pretty good though. The only really original members left are Billy Powell on keyboards and Gary Rossington on guitar. They're still great and definately worth seeing.

Did Leon Wilkeson play with Skynyrd until he died in 2001 or did he leave earlier?

Where did they play in Biloxi? Is the Coliseum on the coast still in decent condition after Katrina?
I saw George Thorogood and ZZ Top at the Biloxi Coliseum in 97 and it was great!

They played in "The Gulf Coast Coliseum" which I beleive is the same one your referring to. It got repaired and remodeled and the Skynyrd concert I went to was the first concert for the grand re-opening of the coliseum so it made it that much better!
