Here is a "review" from some user I found on the Internet: "A friend of mine just bought a used Fender Roc Pro 1000... ...and from what I've read, it's a very undependable amp. He said it works fine, except "the reverb makes a squeeling noise if you turn it up"... Just about every review I've read from owners of this amp said they've had lots of problems with this amp, especially relating to cold solder joints, and "circuit design shortcomings". So what's been your experience with the Roc Pro 1000? Is it as bad as the reviews say it is? I'm not sure how to break the news to him..." ---------------------------------- I saw one guy selling it used for 180... but, the listing expired. I found out that the amp has been discontinued. Someone else online said" "I just got this new amp Saturday, February 14th, and it really kicks ass! Anyone's who's looking for a high-power hard-rock combo that can drive a 4-speaker cabinet to make a half-stack, costs about $600, has no expensive power-amp tubes to replace, and sounds awesome – thanks to the tube-driven preamp – you gotta check this amp out!" ---------------------------------- Tube amp. Once you blow a tube, hopefully you'll find a new one somewhere in your area. Check this out: www.epinions.com/content_175114391172----------------------------------- Marshall makes really good combo amps. I've played with many. I never had any problems. Mesa Boogie Amps are totally badass. Welp, that's my opinion. Anyway, hope some of this helps.

Yeah my friend owns this amp and as mentioned it definately has a lot of design flaws that cathc up over time. I use dto have a Peavey 112 Pro Studio amp...it's only 65 watts but it's great for the price and you can play small gigs on it. Or you might want to try Marshall...either way the Fender you're referring to isnt worth your time and money.
