Aside from the getting back together of Floyd, i thought the Who did a pretty good set. Unfortunately, i was left with my main impression being how much i hate MTV and all their hosts.

We were on the road all day. At first I was sad i missed the Who, but then I realised they're down to just Pete and Rog. What songs did they air?

for the who, MTV came in after a commercial brake at the very end of what looked like My Generation (very frustrating) and quickly went into Wont Get Fooled Again before leaving.

I just watched mtvs' re-air of live 8.They said everyone wanted to see more of the artists' set lists so they put together a 5 hr. unhosted segment.I watched the whole thing.By far the best performance was Paul McCartney doing Helter Skelter.

Yeah, I caught VH1's reairing. Pink Floyd were great, probably my favorite. Maroon 5 almost made me forget how much I hate them with that cover, but not quite. I really don't like Rob Thomas. I generally don't like any lead singer who goes "solo" when his band isn't broken up. The ending was powerful, but kinda cliche...

I see the DVD set is just about to be released, at least here in Oz... might already be available elsewhere. I'm bummed that The Cure's set didn't make it to the DVD as it wasn't shown here. I think Pink Floyd were playing at the same time.

I was just finally able to see the Pink Floyd set. Wow! They were great. I'd love to see a reunion tour, but I seriously doubt that it will happen. Both sides have had lawyers suing each other for years. But regardless, it was good to see them perform, even if it might have been the last time for all of them together. . .
