Not that I would especially want to see this, but I am a huge Cornell fan. I think he could do a better job than you would think on some of the more ballady stuff. Some of my favorite Cornell songs are Call me a Dog, When I'm Down, songs like that that are not the power grunge thing. He's a pretty versatile singer. I thought he would have been a great frontman for Velvet Revolver when they were looking for a singer, but i think he was already hooked up with Audioslave by then. Definately looking forward to his solo album thats comming out.

I wasn't sure if there was a more appropiate thread for this.... I was just listening to a phone interiew on the Extras from the Woodstock DVD. The fella doing the Interview name is Chip Midnight. I was curious because he turned up on a phone interview i have that was coordinated by Dominique which had listeners phone in to ask Shannon questions. It's really cool to get these interviews to help piece together just where Blind Melon was at a given time. Anyway, Chip's name got me curious, so i googled it & it seems he's still trying to get the Name BM out there. Look at the First and LAst lil blog on this link! Sweet! atomicned.com/?cat=7OH YAH~~ if you have the Woodstock dvd, listen to the interview~~! it almost sounds like chip was the first to let Shannon in on the Ed Gein story. they were swapping creepy stories late in the interview, which was the point the made shannon ask Chip for HIS number! I love these lil gems of surprises that sneak up on you!!! thanks again soooo much Ryan!!

Awesome!!! seems i have some catching up to do!! thanks for the redirect, Ryan! i'm still a baby forum member. I supposedely the "go to " guy when my buds want BM questions answered, but i have Sooooo much to learn still. and that's great! keeps things fresh u know. can't wait to see what i find there... * oh yeah, i just wanted to say that Chip always seemed hip to where BM was at in the two interviews i've heard. Especially compared to some interviews i've seen lately where the band seems disengaged w/ the interviewers....Chip just seemed to have a bank of questions Shannon dug.....*

Oh man, I hope one of the guys can read this and confirm it. I don't see how that can be our Blind Melon.....but nothing surprises me with this band, they have all kinds of tricks up their sleeve.
