I use to be part of a dance group that would perform at pre game and half time for the New Orleans Saints. I did this for 4 years in a row during high school. The last year i went i was 17 (1995). A friend of mine had also made this team and my mom drove us down there together. I remember it wasn't too long ago that i had purchased the b.m. soup album. We listened to that album over and over again the whole way to N.O.. Its hard to remember that far back but i think it was after one practice for the show that my mother had picked me and my friend up. She had a newspaper in her hand and then gave it to me. My heart sunk as i read it. It told me that Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon had died. They were there to play at Tipatino's. Now at this time i had plans to see B.M. sometime soon but never got the chance. I am still a big fan of the whole band and i wish them the best of luck with their new lead singer. I will diff. make plans to see them this time when they play at Tipatino's or the closest place possible. I just wanted to share this with other fans of this amazing group of talent.
peace aimee
