I am not trying to offend anyone or ruffle any feathers, but I am looking for some opinions. When they were looking for titles to the tribute album I submitted the title 'SYNTHETIC THERAPY' because one definition of synthetic means to imitate, and I for one have always found Shannon's lyrics and the bands music in general to be very therapeutic. Therefor I thought the title had a lot of relevance. Twenty Stories Below...I thought that maybe there was going to be twenty songs and I think there is thirteen. I don't get it.

That's actually a good question. Is there any relevance in the title or was it just a random lyric choice?

I recall about a dozen title choices, and other than the one I submitted I thought there was only one that I thought made any sense as far as relevance. I put a lot of thought into my submission and I figured that SYNTHETIC THERAPY was the perfect title considering that at the time we thought that we were never going to get any new blind melon therapy. Then again, I tend to over think and over analize a lot of things in my life. But that is why i have always loved Shannon and Blind Melon because it gave me a lot to think about and pick apart what he was trying to say. To this day I still do that. Just this week, Mouthful of Cavities took on a different meaning to me. The man was a freakin genius. No one even comes close.

That all went down before I discovered this forum. But if it was put to a vote, then majority rules. What made the most sense to you might not have made sense to someone else.

lol ... It was fun doing that one. I tossed pics that related to the lyrics at the right time. Not just the obvious lyrics.. but stuff like "When your thinking becomes crystal clear"... There is a shot of Thorn playing, on stage, and looks deep in thought.. And the next lyric "Life, consumed by the moment" is the well-known shot of Shinn in the dessert.
