I have loved them since the "no rain" video premiered on MTV, it was like love at first listen. I ran out and bought the CD as soon as I could.

I had heard about them through a good friend when i was about 15, but i hadnt heard them, and i thought they were just gunna be like typical, like another band that will bore me after a while
so anyway...
One day I got kicked out of school...was in deep shit with everyone... so, mum had told me not to leave the house, she was furious...and had to go see my aunt cuz she did some work in law and i was gunna need some advice in that department.
...ANYHOONS...
so i rolled a joint and i remembered the name "Blind melon" and was looking for some chillage (lol) so i managed to download "change" - i actually fell in love, it was abit like holding my breath trying to make the song last forever lol- i was so blown away (and for ages i thought shannon was a woman lol) ....and i listened to the song all the time till i finally found the first album...took me a while to get soup, but i think i managed to get it just before i went to college, and i got nico for christmas

For a long time there was a....... I think.. I`m fan GnR and I knew, that in some songs Axl sing with guy. Then I`ve learned, that it has a group, Shannon told about itself in video "Making of Don`t Cry ".. I have listened to an album, it was pleasant to me.... Then I`ve found other albums.. Not at once. I not at once have learned, that Shannon have died...likely in half a year when has seriously become interested in a life of participants of group and their creativity.

I was watching tv, the local news, you see I live in Dillsburg, PA 15 miles north of Dover, PA for you people that don't know thats where Chris Thorn is from, HAHAHA. Anyways on the news circa 1992, the newscaster was like local boys/ young gentleman by the name of Christopher Thorn hits the big time with band name Blind Melon and signed deal with capitol records. Growing up in this area my whole young life, I had friends from Dover, so I asked a couple of people about him that went to school with him and they all said he was kinda quiet but was well known for his musical talents. So I went out & bought the self-titled cassett, & this being the different than what I usually listen to( normally Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, Sepultura, Grateful Dead, & Pink Floyd). First thing I was wow, these guys JAM & then I was like this guy Shannon can sing. So my days of listening to metal were put on hold, I listened to that tape until the songs began to drag, roughly 4 months later. So that's the rest of the story and as we all say the rest is history. At first I was like this album kicks ass but that song No Rain is the worst one, and how ironic, there biggest hit.

I knew about the song & Video for No Rain, but got sick of ot quick.I wish I would have given the rest of the CD a listen to somehow.Oh well things happen in their own time I guess.I heard Soul One in 96 in the parking lot at work.I had to find out what band that was.The Guy played a few snippetts of other songs. Then I bought Nico & the other 2 Cds & kept at least one of them with me at all times.(Through Hell & back).I've got 4 dvd's now.I just can't go a Day without hearing Melon. Some days I just know I need to hear the song Change to make me feel better. It's great to have those DVDs too.

I saw the No Rain video on Much Music and it was getting a lot of airtime on the radio. My son loved No Rain and if it came on the tube he'd call out mommy it's that bee girl again. I went out and got the album and loved it. Then Soup was released and I liked it even better even though it was panned by many critics. I never liked hair bands or c*** rock so the Melons were like a breath of fresh air and that's my story

My brother told me that Shannon was the lead singer of a band called Blind Melon after watching Don`t Cry video..That was the first time i ever heard of BM. Then maybe like 5 years ago i started listening to their songs.it was a sunday!... Back then i had something against going out on a sunday so i started searching on the internet info about bands i hadn`t heard of yet,i did that every sunday..Read their biography and downloaded their songs and when it was time for Blind Melon i fell in love with almost every song right away..I listened to them from early morning to late at night..I was sold from that day forward!.
