I was wondering if any Canadians remember from Early 90's about 1994 a show called "Molson Canadian Rocks" show which was featured during that summer late at night it was hosted by Canadian Brent Butt (from Corner Gas) anyhow he was one of the hosts.
(Even though I have not seen it credited in any of the Bios that I have searched up of him).
This was a music show shown late at night. Anyhow I was watching it one night and having seen it previously I had my VCR ready. On that show I remember distinctly that Ugly Kid Joe was on it - right before Blind Melon.
Then... ah this gets me so excited, because me having a good memory (only God knows why). I remember Brent Butt putting down Shannon Hoon when he introduced him saying how the music was going down hill and then saying this about Shannon
"Here's this guy puts on the pink sunglasses and all of a sudden everybody loves them" pretty much putting Shannon down and the whole band in one sentence - that always stood in my memory.
Well back then me and my buddy Luke made double copies of everything we had for music videos. That it included Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana, and of course Blind Melon.
I would like to know if anybody seen that concert back then. Here is a description of the Show. Blind Melon played in a record store and they played "No Rain" of course and "No Bidness" the record store must have been in Vancouver - Shannon wore the pink shades and during "No Rain" he had everyone clap throughout and I even remember there being a short interview with him.
I unfortunally cut ties with Luke and being young and naive I borrowed my copy to this girl named Brandy who was a total bitch probably still is, and when I told her I wanted back she would'nt give it.
Anyway I wanted to share memories of that Blind Melon gig and see if there is anyone from West Coast Canada who seen that show
