HELLO~ I will be traveling to the Vigil this year from California and I want to drive because I have a really awesome car to travel in, but if I go alone I'll probobly take the bus because I don't want to get lost (I've never traveled alone before) and the gas would be too expensive if it was just me paying for it. I was hoping I could split the gas cost with anther MELONhead and we could go together. If you live in California and you want to go, hit me up, we MUST talk. contact me at besseep@yahoo.com I'm trying to figure everything out now because I also want to go to the concert on Sunday, and I have to find a place to stay, but- I'm goen!! No matter F'n what. So please let me know before I buy a bus ticket. I'll wait untill the end of July to hear if anyone wants to go with me. We can talk and at least see if we want to go together. E-mail me- besseep@yahoo.com -Eileen

Well I started to looking for my Vigil trip.
Uhm first at all I need to do the new digital passport for the U.S.A. and in my city they will make it within 20 working days and it's good only 50 Euro, second I've checked in the web to find a cheap flight from Milan to Indianapolis, and the costs are all around 710/720 Euro, approximately 917/930 US dollars for the flight only. #gun# #chair# Then I have to find a means of transport from Indianapolis to Lafayette, the hotel and so on...... #action-smiley-063# Anyway this is the point, I need to save some money in the next months, #banghead# and although I will eat only bread and water from now to Sept. I will definitely make the Vigil this year, I must. #blahblah# Now I need a dark coffee #coffee# and I need to watch the Letters from the porcupine dvd.

Anyone? #pout# lol, awwwwwww you poor thing!!! What if you tried to come to America or even Canada by finding temporary work? Like you could come as a live-in Nanny for a short period of time... Or maybe you could even find something with photography? That's kinda what Lillie did.. She has distant relatives who live in Canada.. people she hardly even knew... Basically she emailed them and it turned out they paid her ticket here and let her stay with them and in return she babysat their kids during the summer. She also took some classes and became a certified GED teacher!

I actually did a little bit of research on aupair, but they only have 12 month programs, and you cant stay for that long, right?

Oh Gabee! I can't belive you're so AWESOME checking that out!!! #bearhug# Thank you! Actualy I probably COULD stay for that long but I don't really want to... I did all sorts of stuff before but I have a bit enough of it...and what I really want right now is find a job in photography, make my own money, be completely independent, you know what I mean... of course I would accept a job that isn't related to photography for a couple of months if this would mean that I can come to the vigil, but one year's a bit too much... I have exams right now and I don't have much time to look out for all these possibilities, how I could come and all that but as soon as the school year finishes I'll do it! Thanks again Gabee and you come to the vigil every year, right? So sooner or later we WILL meet!!!! #rock#

Anything to see you at the vigil, melon! Yeah I know what you mean, to put your life on hold for a whole year would be too much.. especially when you have your college and everything else to take care of over there. Are you a French citizen? Im thinking the whole visa bullshit would be easy to get if you were. I know some countries dont even need a visa to come here, like Australia, England, Canada and NZ. I know you dont have much time to plan, but hey I'll keep on researching whenever I can. I'll keep you posted! Shannon will help, Im sure

Shannon will help, Im sure ;D You know I'm thinking something like this too....if I have to be there, I'll be there, otherwise is maybe just not the time yet-althought I think it IS! lol When things are very important to me, like in some kind of deep, "spiritual" way, I kind of trust in universe or however you want to call it, it can be god too, I just personaly don't call it that way...so yeah, maybe Shannon could be it, especialy in this case, hehe

ahhhh melons.
I dont think ill be making it to the vigil this year afterall. There's just too much going on and too much to do in so little time. It's taken me longer than i thought to get a job, seems theres alot of reasons not to employ me lol Seriously, i thought id get employed even for the rubbish jobs that any idiot can do, but i actually have a box full of rejection letters in my bedroom.
So yeah, i Don't think i'll be able to save in time even if i did get a job soon, not that i would. And its not like i can go back to college...because now that im 19 it costs £750 a term, per subject (thats every 6-8 weeks)...i wouldnt even earn that if i had a full time job anyway. And the only reason i would go back to college is increase my chances of getting a job anyway....cuz employers want people who have actually completed college.
And mums trying to kick me out of the house all the time so its making me want to move out, which means i'll have to start my life from square one, which is no time to be taking breaks or flying to another country or having a good time... ... if you know what i mean....
Yep things are complicateeeed.
But who knows. Maybe something will work out, i'll keep you all posted.
Lesson here is: Don't fuck your life up. #meh#
