hehe Joel that's awesome! Yes my "style" is a special trend I invented called "Complete lack of Fashion Sense" !!! hehehe Doesn't seem to be catching on though... That's really sweet of her and tell her I said so Man I hope more overseas melons can make it in the years to come, it's a huge trip and yes it costs a Ton of money, but so so worth it. Once you're in Indiana though all melons help each other, need to crash on the floor at the hotel? No problem! Happens every year it seems hehe and we're all pretty good at helping people with rides to the grave and getting food etc It's like a lil melon commune awwwww!!! So once you're in Indiana it can be pretty cheap to get by. Gabriiiiela...not sure about Emma, called her today but no answer, I will keep trying. I would be sooooo stoked out of my undies if Lillie and Diego could be there also Yay! Can't wait to meet nata_sweet_melon I'm getting too excited....need bad eighties music and water crackers....

haha, I see what you mean joel! So please, everybody, stop torturing us, poor oversea melons! #chair# I was just thinkig a few days ago...about finding a way...work there after (or before) the vigil, for a month or so, so I could also make a little trip elsewhere in USA then, take photos, make photo reports and then try to sell them in Slovenia or something... I don't know...just find a way to do it even if I have NO money right now.... Does anyone know if we can find work in photography there and if it can be just for one month for example? Maybe this is a little strange question, it always depends, I mean you can never know I guess...I don't even know if I could get the permission to work there.... Cause even if I find work in Slovenia in july, I sure won't save enough in two months!

Hey There joel,Our factory has a summer layoff anyway and everyone gets unemployment for that time off.My layoff is gonna be for a longer period.Everyone knows that I won't be coming back.I'll be going on Social Security after that.I recently have had adjust to alot of new medications & it knocked me down the ladder at work as far as job titles go.I could go on and on about that experience.Talk at you later!

The best thing would definitely be if i manage to save ALOT of money so i that i could stay in the U.S for about 2 months or so..I mean,America is so far away so if i finally get there it`s better to go see many different places on the same trip..You will need to save up much more money for that than just for the vigil but in the long run it`s much cheaper..

The cheapest way for me to do it is,take the Greyhound bus to Layfayette, get to the Vigil, then take The Greyhound back home within 24 hours or something like that.

It sucks, I can't go to this one because I have school, the year after I will be at uni for four years. Hopefully I can make the journey at some point after that, 2010 here I come. Not mention the fact I'm about as far away as can be.

HOWDEE MELONS!!! I have a favor to ask of the bestest bunch of folks in the whole wide whirld! I know a ton of you buy shirts from Nel every year (which RULES!), and I know a lot of you are shutterbugs especially at Vigiltime...which also rules! I'm asking anyone out there that has a pic of them sporting a Vigil tee if they could send me pics via email of them in the tee. The only thing is, the design has to be clear as well as your beautiful smiling or wacky face. Fronts, backs of the shirts whatever goes...I prefer pics of people wearing the shirts at the Vigil, but if you wanna go nuts and take some of you sporting the shirts in crazy spots or whatever...showing off your MELON pride...that flies too! I'm using these pics on my website at www.sugarskyproductions.com in case you're wondering. So, if you think you can help, I'd be much obliged...and will definately caption your name and where you're from under each pic. Loves my Melonheads!!! Please send the pics to me at: soul@sugarskyproductions.com Don't be shy! The wackier...the better! Namaste! Soul And now that I know Kiwi is coming to the Vigil this year with lil Shannon...I'm SUPER bummed I'm not coming *cry*

#balloons# #cheers# VIGIL 2006..... Not too much longer!!! Sorry oversea Melons...just think..if you can't make it this year....that gives you a whole year to save for next year's vigil!!!
I can't wait to see the Melons I know and meet those of you I don't!!! I'll be stopping by Cincinatti International Airport on the way to Lafayette,IN...so if anyone needs a ride just let me know...I'm sure we can work something out!!! And if anyone needs a place to stay, my friend, Sarah, lives in Crawfordsville, IN and is offering a place to stay for any MELONS that may need it!!! You can contact me or her for any info....

I'm definitely going. I will be driving and will contact some Canadians to see if they want to hop in. I will also make it into a mini holiday. So I want to book a hotel room now, so anybody have a place to recommend? I still think fundraising for those far away melons is a great idea; it just needs to gel. So let's get together and really brainstorm because we can make it happen. I have several ideas but have no time to post them now. I need to talk to Matt because he knows all about copyright laws and so forth so when i have time I'll do that. So please send your ideas and any idea is worth putting on the table. You wee melons will only be young once and if this is your hearts desire well then the time to do it is now. Someone will have to be in charge of the money and I know that people can transfer airmiles to another person, that's one option. So you all have friends and parents that may just be the generous type and agree to transfer their airmiles. Gotta go.
Much love

I book my tickets this week!!! Can't believe it yet...I will be going back to Shannon and all my lovely melons I've been absent from this board for a while, been looking after my mum after her kidney transplant and getting the house ready to sell...busy busy bee.... But now the plans start for my new adventure! Will be in America for two and half months with my man and our kids, I can't wait! It would be great to get something worked out to help overseas melons get to the vigil, I know the idea has been discussed many times over there years but the logistics are Huge. Hopefully we can work something out, I will certainly help any way I can. Gotta be our mission as Melons to get Every melon there at some stage! *Peace, love and Kiwis*
