As I mentioned in my introduction, My fiance' and I were having a hard time deciding were to take our honeymoon on our limited budget and new child we were expecting. Having been a Blind Melon fan for a number (as was she) I read about Shannon's vigil and suggested it as a joke, sure that she would never in a million years actually go for it. Much to my wonderful suprise, she thought it was a good idea and we begun to put our plan into action. Hell with it. To make a long story short, I had my heart set on visiting Shannon's grave, (finding out about the vigil made it even better since it was being held about a week after our wedding you see) made travel arrangements, downloaded directions, and all around prepared myself for the trip (I know this makes me sound like an obsessive freak but trust me I'm on the level.) I just wanted to mention this since I noticed there was a portion of this forum dedicated to this. Just wanted to share my sad story and say that I look forward to reading about them and looking at the pictures. Cheers

Im sorry you didnt make it, I was wondering about the whole story when you mentioned it earlier, hopefully you will make it this year, Im trying my hardest to make it as well!

Hi everyone,
I'm hoping that we can go this year. My wife & I have a wedding anniversary on September 25th so I'd say that would be too great if we're able to make the trip. We have an Autistic son & he has to come first but maybe we can have some help from my in-laws for that weekend. I sure hope so....
