I wanted to know if we were planning to host an online Vigil like we had last year, it rocked! Does anyone want to volunteer to host.......Diego did an awesome job last year!
I think it should really start to be planned out.....

I think it should really start to be planned out..... yes, we have to think about this for the poor melons who won't be there... last year it was with Yahoo Messenger, what about Msn Messenger this time? |

I was thinking we could plan hosting in our chatroom, I want to make sure wherever we have it that the message gets out! We need a volunteer to set the whole thing up!
and yes I am soooooooooooooooooooo going to actually bee there this year!

Using this chatroom (or maybe one like it) it's a great idea. We chose not to use MSN cuz there are several issues with that, to begin with, it sucks... lol... The whole thing it's pretty simple, we make the room like the one Gelfing made for this board. We make publicity (start posting, sending mails and so on). And wtih the "publicity" we post a link to the chat room (if it's web based it's better, not everybody has yahoo messenger installed). Publicity has to be visible, on vigil time there are going to be lots of melons looking for info about shannon, most of them find the boards or bm sites, if they show an ad with the chat room dates, we'll have tons of melons. Last year I counted around 35 melons at the same time in the chat room. I ended up with about 50 melons in my yahoo list.  And, oh well, as you can see... I'm not going this year (again!  ). So who else is up to this? |

I'm ok with it... but we still have to check on the other boards, not like ask if someone wants to organize it with us, but more like check if someone is organizing anything, so we don't have 2 separate chats or something.
We should have a "Shannon's bday greetings" thread on the first page too, so ppl can leave a msg in case they don't feel like going to the chatroom, that happens a lot too...
Oh and put the board on google... have you done that already?

Yeah I put the board on google, the jerks havent added it yet I dont think.

I just checked, we are in google, we're just nowhere near the top, lol... It's cuz it's a board, not a website.
Mark's site it's the one that's more likely to get lots of hits... can someone that doesn't think that he's an asshole write him an email to see if he can put a link to this board for vigil time (unless he wants to open his) or if he's willing to put a link to the chat room?
