Cu later Walter, of course a million thanks for sharing this! This gig will be played in the air crossing the Atlantic!!! Enjoying my flight! After that more miles to go on tarmac! Enjoy Melon you all! Paul Paul, if you know where I could mail it to you on your trip, I will give it a try. Just let me know if you can find an adress at a hotel where I could send it, or wherever really. Are you meeting up with anyone that I could send two copies of the show to their house, and they could keep one copy, and give the other copy to you when they see you? Just let me know. . .

Man, Nashville was off the hook. I could not believe how many people came out to the show. It was one of our better shows. The stage sounded really good we kick out some good improve jams. I hope some one recorded the show in good quality. I saw alot of people for the 3rd and 4th time from, Columbus OH, Atlanta GA, Starkesville MS, Memphis TN. I met some people who drove 3 hours who had never seen Blind Melon, what an honor. For me the people at the show MAKE the show. thanks to you all. Brad Hey Brad, Great to hear you are having a excellent time! It feels like magic to hear you guys playing old & new Melon again live! From the few shows I've heard it just gets better and better and better. I'll be flying to Texas to catch up with a few gigs and I am totally excited. For me a dream comes true! Keep jamming and hope to meet you in Dallas! Cheers and hang in there! Paul Kramer

Joel,
I payed a bit over 450 euro for the combined ticket Chicago and back from Atlanta. After the vigil I got a ride from a Melonhead who lived in Charlotte NC, from there I grabbed a Greyhound bus to get to Atlanta. I went there to see a Tragically Hip show :-) which was excellent!
Cleaning the Mobile home could be excellent, I rather drive then clean and whooaaah I am a messy boy hehe ;-) No sweat, Damn let the boys announce their tour!!!
Peace Paul

Hey Joel, Awesome mannnn you're in! Don't worry about the driving, I love driving and everything cool! I have a regular driving license and also for towing bigger trailers.. No trucks though heheh Okay, to tell you more about the flight tickets... when i went to the vigil in 2004 I flew in on Chicago and back to Holland from Atlanta. Actually that combined flight ticket was cheaper then a both way Chicago. So maybe go and talk to a travel acengy whenever we have dates announced. As i said before, till that time we can't do anything. Because what happens if Melon isn't playing anywhere during September.. Or what happens when Melon plays west coast in September... Jeezzzz well I hope they take our plan into consideration while they arrange their tour itenary.... Anyway, Joel cool you're in! We keep in touch! Paul

Hey Music lovers!
Okay, maybe I wasn't clear enough on what I found out on the web. But well, it goes like this ( although I have checked it, did not book anything, maybe there are still additional costs). But this dutch site you were able to book a flight and rent a camper/motor home as well.
Flight was a bit over 400 euro, flying from Amsterdam to Chicgo, for a 2 week trip 15 sept till 30 sept. Then for a motorhome ( 5 pers) renting on same dates as the flight, pickup in Chicago and deliver in NYC, including a generator would cost you 2475 eur.
So that is less then 500 eur for the motorhome and with the flight you get close to 1000 eur. Then you still need to add the melontickets, gas, and spending money, smokes, beers, w$$d and other stuff like toiletpaper heheh ( looking at the posts before)....
So the dates are fine, the prices are fine and i love the enthousiasm from all the Melons inviting us to sleep at there driveway. Excellent, I would do the same, it feels like a family to me!
We still rely on the tourdates the guys announce. Untill then we can't do anything.... and that sucks. But well... just wait and seee. But actually I would also like to see the West coast... Of course if we want to be at the vigil it turns out to fly to Chicago, but i have never seen anything in the West!~
But to see Vernie, Nell, and all the others I have seen in 2004 would be priceless tooo...!\ Hell yeah, Blind melon and USA here we come!
I hope I cleared out how much I think it would cost the plain things to get around and to get to US. Barb, I found a low budget airline flying for 5 eur. from Brussels to Ljubliana! When we fly to US you definately need to fly from Amsterdam anyway!
Hey Vincent, little petit French Melon Hip Fannnnn, what about you joining us mannnnn! You need to join as well! And Sarah, how are your parent doing so far...?? Convinced them yet? ;-)
Peace brothers&sisters!

HEY MELONS!!!! Allright, here is some peptalk to you all.... I discussed this with barbara and I said I would back her up with this idea and the post. First of all, thank you all very much for the information we get. I do read the thread but haven't posted anything... But okay here we goooo, I just believe we have to get this Mobile home full with a bunch of weirdooooo's including Barbara and I! So we have like 3 places left and I haven't seen too many ppl interested to join us. The more we have, the better the vibe and the cheaper it gets... hey what do we want more... GABBEEEE for instance you could be a perfect member for instance or many others... imagine driving this machine on the highway playing Melon, smoking, drinking laughing, shooting pictures and have a 2 weeks blast! Come onnnn keep the thread going and lets have the mobile home full. I just che cked another site in Dutch www.worldticketcenter.nland you can check prices on vans/ mobile homes and planetickets. To travel 2 weeks in september would coste me 950 euro for planeticket and a mucho bingo melon mobile home...! Yeah... what else do we want? Spening money and melon tickets heheh Okay, i hope I promoted enough, game on ppl! Your Melonfriend from the Dutchie Capital!!! PS Just bought again Pearl Jam tickets for June heheh ;-)

Jooo Barb!!!
Good you mention these virtuoso duo here.... they are incredible!!! Never heard anything like this! And I am listing to it now and it gets me tripping again, eyes closed and just go with the flow... try to get mentally (only by music, no lyrics) out of this sometimes shitty world...
Maybe you can relate this to the (discussed) ' bee girl' getting out in the field wanting to dance on good tunes and not be bothered by nowadays bullshits...
yeah, please fellow melonheads, take 10 mins of your time and check out these links. they are fabulous... and Brussels was BEAT all the way by their performance!
A dutchie Melonhead.

Yeahhhh AWESOME!!!
I have seen the Hip several times! Since my exchange program in 1993 ( way way back in time...) I got hooked to the band. I came back to Europe and kept on playing their cd's.
Then in 2002 I did like 80% of the whole European tour with them... following them up to Denmark! Got to see 9 shows in 2 weeks heheh. This way I got to know the band quite well. EVersince 2002 I sometimes mail with Johnny Fay and whenever they are down in Europe I get backstage heheh!!!
The hip is definately one of the best performing bands ever. They are sooo long together and Gordon ( singer) is just awesome with his lyrics. So to me there are 2 major bands Blind melon and The Hip.
Anyway, try to see as much Hip as possible. They sure rock!!! There new album World Container is excellent! Johhny mailed me they'll be touring Europe again this year.. hopefully not in September....
Okay, who else got to see the Hip... BTW The hip recorded 2 cd's in Kingsway Studio's as well!!! That's what I call having good taste for the music!
Cheers & peace
Paul

Peace to the world and let's hope we get to see them live soon.

Hey boys and girls!
Well, to get right to the core... does anybody know when the new album will be released? I have been waiting so desperate ever since the reunite was announced.. I cant wait to hear new tracks and ofcourse the ultimate would be the following tour to attend!
Anyway, maybe anybody here can tell me more about it. Possible the band members could reply on this? As far as my information goes I remember the release of cd was scheduled around April...
Hope to hear more info soon! Love from Europe!

Whooaaaah the idea to hear old Melon songs live by the originals... It's like a dream to ever hear Time, or basicly any old tune... I do love the new stuff as well... but the old songs are sooo unique...
I remember Vigil 2004 during the Stock and the covers the Canadians played.. for me it was the best at that time... for the first time to hear live Melon tunes being played . Imagine they pull off on stage mannnn, whoaaH I can't wait I better start doing work out when time is due I'll be out of my mind!
What a year up ahead.. can't wait. Hmm can't say what song i like the best. Paper Scratcher is also one of my favorites!!
Anyway... hang in there lovely Melons! Soon we have the jackpot!
