Yes! Yes! - One for each copy I would buy. One for playing and one for art. Well, it's both art. Anyway.
I don't see anything happening for awhile but the band seems to embrace vinyl so hopefully.
Peace.

This show was nothing short of incredible. i went in slightly skeptical, wasn't sure I was ready to accept anyone taking/trying to take Shannon's place. I listened to a few songs on the myspace and didn't take it much further than that I wanted to let the live show speak for itself, and did it ever. I never in a million years thought such a day would come, but Travis, really, really does the band justice, and it's so awesome to see the music living on so to speak, and now evolving. I never thought I would say this, but they've found the perfect guy. He doesn't replace Shannon in my books, but he's got that something to make this whole thing work. I was just blown away the show was absolutely awesome. I picked up the new disc on my way out and have listened to countless times since Tuesday...love it! Also obviously, this is my first post, so I'm new to the boards, but I met a few of the boardies at the show...the road tripping ones. So shout out to the chick from Jersey, the one from Dallas? and the guy from Holland, it was nice meeting you guys. I was the "unhappy looking" blonde. lol and I had the time of my life for the record, so... I have pictures and videos which I'll hopefully have the chance to get uploaded sometime this weekend. i'll post here when they're up. peace! Welcome to the forum fellow melonhead!!!

I nominate the band for putting out a new CD. I vote for Blind Melon to be the melon(s) of the month of May.

Wow. Looking closer at the poster, there is an error. 4/22/08 was not a Friday by my calendar.

I need a copy! Where can I get a copy of that... I've never heard of it. If you are serious (which strikes me as funny since I have seen your manly mountain beard and picture you drinking tea reading Women's Day ;D) they sell it at the Hy-Vee (grocery store) here, so maybe at your equivalent. I know they also have it at Barns & Nobel and Borders. Hey, even manly mountain bearded men need tips on how to get clearer skin.

I'll say two things:
1: The lyrical content has an upward positive vibe. That I feel, most are not used to with Blind Melon. That's not to say there are not sad songs on this album but it's a happier time so the lyrics I feel reflect that.
2: In the reviews I've read of the album, I really don't understand the backlash against "90's" related bands. Are the 90's the new 80's in that it's cool to talk nostalgia and put down the previous decade? Bands are bands. The music is all that really matters. Those that judge based on anything else look ignorant. And yes, all are entitled to their opinion. This is mine.
I am sorta taken back by lack of respect the old material has garnered over the years. So many people think of No Rain and that's all.
I love this new stuff. It's different and the same. Makes for a weird feeling musically but exciting just the same. I have never been a fan of a band in this situation (never got into AC/DC).
Just judge the music. If you don't like it, then don't listen. If you do, buy the album and support the band so they will make more.
Peace.

I found it at Best Buy. Circuit City was a joke. They didn't have it in the new release section and they didn't have any Blind Melon in with the rest of the music. Best Buy had it with the other Blind Melon cd's, or shall I say the Best of Blind Melon which is the only other release they had from them. They didn't even have it with other new releases. They only had like 4 copies of For My Friends.
Sucks they are not even getting the "new release" push.
This is grass roots folks. For the band to get any attention again, it is up to us. I get Spin, Rolling Stone and Blender, and not one of them has mentioned (in print) anything about Blind Melon. Not a review, interview, nothing. Now the reformation of STP gets plenty of publicity but not Blind Melon. Smashing Pumpkins. Sure, they only have 2 members of the original band but thats OK. Just pisses me off. This is good music here and not a sniff from the press. Its up to us. It is up to us.
O.K. I am better now.
Peace.

Same for me. I assume you use another browser beside IE. I have Firefox with DTA (download addon) installed. So after my first download attempt failed, I went back to try again. Now it says my download link expired. I was supposed to have 2 downloads but only got one try at it. So now I am off to get my fingers on a physical copy. I dont think you should only get two downloads. Not sure the logic behind that considering you can copy these files as many times as you want. Anyway. I know nothing is perfect so I aint lettin ruin Blind Melon day. Peace. My pre-order download failed ! I only got some little ".php" file. Aaaargh! Anybody else have this issue? (I've emailed support. They won't have long before I call!)
