Hey Joe,
I totally understand how you feel the way you do, I read your post several times until I really got what you were saying. I feel that these shows are definitely for the fans..and including us all, in a way, brings us closer to the band and the music we love. Travis puts his own spin on things, and he has his own unique style. Personally, I love hearing the crowd sing every word to every song. I love the energy and support from the Melonheads in the audience and it really gets me more into the show. Travis posted on FB that he has the flu pretty bad, and that could have contributed to less singing at the NY show. It's pretty hard to sing when you feel like you are about to barf. At the acoustic performance in DC he was spot on, and sang beautifully. I hope you can see some of that footage, because it was beautiful and intense. The band seemed really into it, and it was magical.

I saw what was available last night, it was all from the 2008 tour. I think Karen snagged one of the last Bee Girl posters and I got a tank top for my friend.

I wish they would have an official page, most of the band members have their own pages, except for Rogers.

Ok...I am finally awake and ready to write a review, I just cannot stop thinking about last night. BEST SHOW EVER. Seriously. The venue was awesome, the stage was on a man made beach facing the harbor. The place was packed wall to wall with people. At 6pm Karen, Myself, and a new Melonhead named Jess went up to see the Acoustic Performance. It was very intimate and there was a very small crowd. I feel like Blind Melon looked inside my brain and picked a set list for the acoustic show based on all my most favorite songs. I'm talking Walk, Soup, Sleepyhouse, The Pusher, Skinned....they were spot on. I wish so badly that I could have taken video of this but my camera's video function is not working right...I saw lots of cameras so hopefully video is up on YouTube soon. During the last two songs Travis asked everyone to crowd around them...so we all sat cross legged on the floor right by the band...it was intense. I just loved the acoustic set!!!! Next, the Wailers came on, they were awesome! The beach was packed, the sun was setting and you could smell something very herbal coming from the crowd. Every one in our group had a good drink buzz going and we just danced in the sand during the whole Wailers set...they even played my favorite, Three Little Birds. By this time the crowd was pretty insane..very drunk...very buzzed...girl on girl action in the sand...and we saw a pretty crazy arrest where the guy was fighting the cops and got busted with a huge bag of a white powdery substance...crazy. So the only thing to complain about was the stage being so high that you couldn't see much if you were up close. When Melon came on the crowd was very chill at first, but that didn't last long at all. They played all old songs, and they sounded incredible. People started climbing the walls to get up and close to the band. So many melonheads there that knew every word to every song...I know they played Toes Across the Floor, Galaxie, Soup, Time...I got lifted up the wall and got to sing Five Fed Up Faces!!!!! I did good I think...I felt so giddy afterwards. They played Wilt, Soak, and of course NO Rain. During the last 45 minutes of the set, fireworks were going off and it was beautiful! I swear this was the BEST show I have ever seen. My summer can't get any better! 3armman and Jess worshipping Travis
