I'd really enjoy seeing the boys cover a Jeff Buckley tune.

again...since i had a little taste in Mobile, AL during the jam session in Time...Jane Says by Jane's Addiction. That little bit Travis sang was enough to tell me he could hit it dead on!

I always thought Travis sounded a lot like Perry Ferrel.
Mother Love Bone would make a nifty cover.

Good thought! He could so pull off some Andy Wood. Love Chloe/Crown of Thorns off Singles sound track.

I know they did "Out on the Tiles" but I think there are a lot of other good Led Zeppelin songs they would do really well. 10 years gone, the rover..etc. I also think some black crows would be a good choice, imo.

I also think some black crows would be a good choice, imo. You beat me to it, I was also going to suggest Black Crows. Both for BM to cover a BC tune, and for BC to cover a BM tune. I think both ways would be killer!

Blind Melon should cover a CCR song!! That would be so sick!! They have so many to choose from. Me and my buddies band did an acoustic of Green River that kicks ass! If ya wanna check it go to The Captain's Son on Facebook They have some cool music yall!

I like all the suggestions so far. Here are 3 songs I'd love to see what would happen if the boys Melonized them.
1. FREE - Fire and Water.
2. King's X - Over My Head
3. Sass Jordan - High Road Easy

I like your suggestion, Matt...but would travis wear any pants that tightly? LOL! here's another, in honor of their appearance at Bricktown live on Flaming Lips Avenue, perhaps they could cover "She Don't Use Jelly".

From the moment I got into BM I always wanted to hear them cover Pink Floyd's "Fearless". Oddly enough the closest I have come was hearing Alice Donut cover it when they opened for melon back in the day.
The recorded version has four guitars so there is opportunity for CT, Travis and Rogers to put their stamp on it and I know CT would blow minds on slide guitar.
