I thought I would pass on this bit of info to all PS3 owners.
Sony PlayStation Network, the online social gaming site used by millions of gamers, has been down for many people who own older PlayStation models for the last day, according to a blog posting by Foster City-based Sony Entertainment Corp. of America.
Sony said the problems do not appear to be affecting owners of the new slim PS3, and company engineers believe the problems are being caused by "a bug in the clock functionality" of other systems.
"We hope to resolve this problem within the next 24 hours. In the meantime, if you have a model other than the new slim PS3, we advise that you not use your PS3 system, as doing so may result in errors in some functionality, such as recording obtained trophies, and not being able to restore certain data," the company said in a blog posting that appeared Monday.
Hopefully, this will be fixed soon, but I wanted to make sure all my melons didn't get screwed!
