Always been a curious question to me. Do others have guilty pleasures with music? I mean, is there anything you jam/rock out/dance to that you wouldn't want anybody to know about because it would embarrass you?
I have a whole playlist on my ipod dedicated to those kinds of songs. I'll share a few but you have to share too. My first guilty pleasure is the song: What Have I Done to Deserve This - Pet Shop Boys
I will admit, that is one of my least embarrassing guilty pleasure songs, but wouldn't "throw it on" with friends over. I couldn't imagine the looks on their faces. Coming from a guy who went through a big Pantera kick back in the day. Anyhoon. What are some of yours? Come on, I'll share some more.
Peace.

I listen to TONS of stuff... from rock to jazz to metal to hip hop to solo piano.... and on and on...... so i'm not really ahamed of any of it. It stems from me being young and my mom having TONS of 45's & and my stepdad having TONS of 8 tracks & LP's. Mom was the "nancy sinatra... beach boys...." POP kinda person... and stepdad was the "elton john, alice cooper, jimi hendrix, beatles, deep purple.... " So i'm proud to have gotten the influence and open-mindedness to respect most anything that people listen to. ooo.. and if you like Susanna Hoffs, check out her album from a few years ago with Matthew Sweet. Doing a bunch of old songs... GREAT. *edited to include a link to their myspace with a couple songs on the music player: www.myspace.com/sidnsusie

I like a lot of bad 80's pop bands......like Banarama and the Bangles. My dad's (keep in mind an ex hippie with much love for Zep and Black Sabbath) favorite song is Cruel Summer by Bananarama. OK. I'll share two more, Dangerous - Loverboy (first CD I ever owned was Loverboy - Loving Every Minute of It) and Clothes Off - Jermaine Stewart --- Maybe I shouldn't be telling people this stuff. Matt, I went through a mini 2pac phase. R U Still Down is a pretty good disc if you like rap.

tupac is good, not as good a B.I.G or Big Pun, but those aren't my guilty pleasures, i'm very open at the fact that i love hip hop, R & B and Rap i'll really listen to almost and just about everything, or give it a try at lest once. mine has to be the worst tho, i have to admit even tho she's a crazy bitch i like Brittany Spears new stuff, at my age, growing up she was an icon i was in the 5th grade maybe 4th when she came out so like every other little girl i loved her, i guess i never really grew out of it.

Speaking of the people that little girls idolize...... My first concert was New Kids on the Block opening for Tiffany. I had a broken arm and got some of the members of Tiffany's band to sign my cast. I was the coolest kid in sixth grade when I came back to school in my Tiffany T-shirt and my autographed cast. That was 20 years ago and "Hangin' Tough" was HUGE!!! *sigh*

I'm a big Bryan Adams fan, especialy of his older stuff. He was my far favorite musician until I discovered Blind Melon and then slowly changed my taste in music. I don't like his new albums that much, mostly because of not original and cheesy lyrics that annoy me which is too bad cause I still really like the music, if for nothing else, probably cause I loved it too much before to not like it now. I still think his old stuff rocks. The music is simple but that's what I like about it, just rock with good vibes that puts me in good mood.

Matt, I went through a mini 2pac phase. R U Still Down is a pretty good disc if you like rap. I really dug the Thug Life disc. Spice 1, MC Ren, MC Eiht, DJ Quik... I like those as well.. This song use to be cranking from my truck when I was in High School. ^---no worries. Editted for TV. And this tune reminds me of my long summer rides to the beach... ^---Love this damn song! And, it's safe to play if you are work.
