Congratulations Ryanne!!
I'll start...
Do you love what you do? And if so, at what age did you realize what you wanted to pursue?
What are some other favorite bands of yours?
If you could spend 3 days in the past (any era) where would you go and why?

Congrats Ryanne!!!!!
Describe the situation in which you first discovered Blind Melon. How many times have you seen them play with or without Shannon? How did you hear of the untimely death of Shannon and where were you?

Congratulations Ryanne!! I'll start... Do you love what you do? And if so, at what age did you realize what you wanted to pursue? What are some other favorite bands of yours? If you could spend 3 days in the past (any era) where would you go and why? Good questions! Yes, I do love what I do. I enjoy the challenges that working with injured athletes presents. It is different everyday, so I rarely get bored. I also really like the teaching aspect of my job. I think I will pursue that more when I finally get burned out of the physical part of my job. I first decided Athletic Training was for me when I blew my knee out in high school. Going to rehab and all the anatomy was really interesting. But, I knew I didn't want to work with old people, so I decided Athletic Training vs Physical Therapy. Plus, who can beat a seat on the field at the 50 yrd line or center court? Some other favorite bands of mine are: The Beatles- currently working on getting every release on first edition vinyl. I firmly believe every great band and sound has its roots in the Beatles. The Doors- I LOVE the Doors. I draw a lot of similarities in the way Jim wrote music to the way Shannon wrote music. I actually listened to the vinyl box set this weekend. Paramore- IMO, best band to come out in the last 5 years. Their new album shows a real growth in musicianship and I highly recommend it. They also put on a killer live show!!! Question 3 is a trick! There are alot of days I would like to go back and witness. The day JFK was killed is one. To actually be in the plaza, to have the possibility to know if it was just a single shooter is very intruiging. But, I think I would like to go to all 3 days of Woodstock. To hear that music, be with all those people, witness a society that actually cared about others and provided for others would be amazing. Sounds cliche, but I was raised on that music and hearing stories about the 60s, so I have always romaticized that era. Wow, those were great questions, I had to think alot about those!

Congrats Ryanne!!!!! Describe the situation in which you first discovered Blind Melon. How many times have you seen them play with or without Shannon? How did you hear of the untimely death of Shannon and where were you? Growing up, I had a friend who was really into music and sports. She traveled on alot of sports teams to various parts of the country. One summer she was trying out for the junior olympic hand ball team in California and some of the people she met out there were into BM. She loved them and brought them back to Iowa. After that, it was an everyday listening from 92-95. I, sadly, never got to see them with Shannon. I lived only an our from Kirksville and 1.5 hours from Ames, but I was 13 or 14 at the time and while I have cool parents, they weren't about to let me go! I did get to see them 4 amazing times with Travis. Easily all 4 in my top 10 concerts of my life. I learned of Shannon through Kurt Loder on MTV news. I had just finished playing basketball at a local 3 on 3 tourney and had MTV on while changing. My friend that introduced me to BM had died shortly before that on Aug. 26th, so I didn't listen to them for a long time. I was pretty angry at both of them. Then one day, I was riding in my car and No Rain came on. It reminded me of why I love them and started my sorted love affair with them again. ;D So, for the last 9 years, they have been an everyday listen again.

Do You have any animals & could You tell us their names? I have twin cats, a boy and a girl named Marley and Ziggie respectively and a ferret named Squishy. They are like my babies!
