Just finished Chuck Klosterman's Fargo Rock City very very entertaining read. Mostly because he's about my age and got turned on to metal with Motley's "Shout at the Devil" when he was about 12 too. I know it's been out awhile but for any of you who also grew up on a steady diet of Motley, Faster Pussycat, GNR, etc... read this book, funny as hell. There is a small reference to Shannon disproving the old belief that you get famous after death in a very bizarre chapter on Guns and Roses videos.

I was never into that scene, but I like Guns n Roses and that book sounds interesting. Especially the GNR chapter. I have always liked them. Well... I cant say always. They grew on me as I grew up. But I think my friend has that book. I want to read it now.

There are also a few references to Shannon and Blind Melon in Slash's (from GNR) autobiography...that's also a really entertaining read if you give it a shot.
