Ryan, the fish Greg caught was a Cobia. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cobia I had never heard of that type of fish before. Greg and my uncle each caught one and they brought them home to eat. It really was a delicious fish, I don't know why I never see it on the menu at restaurants.

Gross! Those look disgusting! If I were fishing and saw I had one of those on the line, I think I would just throw the whole fishing pole in the water out of fear.

It really was a delicious fish, I don't know why I never see it on the menu at restaurants. Cobia is a game fish that can get up to 150 lbs. Because it is a game fish, it is not openly sold on the market. The meat is white & firm. It is a very mild tasting fish (in otherwords, it isn't fishy) It is best compared to Swordfish steaks. 2 20 lb fish yielded 16 lbs of meat. There were 11 people at the beach house we stayed at and the 16 lbs of meat fed everyone for 2 seperate nights. The first night it was prepared fried, the second night it was grilled. Both dinners tasted great, but out of the 2, I enjoyed grilled best.
