I was driving this morning listening to sucky Chicago radio when out of the blue NO RAIN came on. I instantly got a little "feclempt", if you will. For some reason that song ever since the first time I heard it on MTV has always given me....almost like butterflies in my stomach, and then I get a big smile. I understand it's cliche' being their main staple into main stream music. I also understand the band got burned out on No Rain, but I believe forever it's gonna be my favorite Melon tune. It's just the song I can't get enough of. I just f#cking love that song, it makes me so happy when it comes on. So I was wondering what everyone's favorite tune was. #hoonsmiley# #smileyweather# #smileyweather# #smileyweather# #smileyweather# #smileyweather# No Rain!!!!!!!!!!! #rock453#

i hear ya!! i love no rain....how can you not? yeah, it kind of labeled the band and for people who just listened to that song, they will always remember blind melon as the song about the bee girl. but true music fans can clearly see the music and talent way before the mtv theatrics. so i dont think that its such a bad thing to be recognized for a supercool song like no rain. for the time it came out and even by todays musical standards, well especially by today's musical standards, its really original and deep...you could pick any blind melon song that got popular and it wouldnt define the band any better....cause hey, THEY DONT FIT IN A BOX!!!!! which is one of the greatest things about this great band!!! thanks just dave for posting this thread....i love talkin about my favorite melon songs. ive gotta say that deserted was my first favorite melon song....somethin about that groove just got me....its still in my top three or four. my absolute favorite probably is time....i just love that song.....i love the jammin at the end, i love the flute i love the flow and shannon really sang the heck out of that song. so ill say thats my all time favorite. a few runners up would have to be st. andrew's fall and soup. #sunsmilie# #sunsmilie# #sunsmilie# #sunsmilie# #sunsmilie# #sunsmilie#

my favorite Blind Melon tune varies daily/weekly. this week it's a tie between Glitch and Pull. but you will always, I mean ALWAYS, find me singing along to No Rain. It's not only catchy, but I can relate to it.

Mine changes from time to time as well. It's been Change, then Paper Scratcher, then on to Soup. And around 2000 it changed to Vernie, then Time, and I would have to say now it's Pull or maybe St. Andrews. Well anytime that I hear Melon on the radio it is always goosebumps, and it's always No Rain. I LOVE No Rain, it's the one song that can be recognized by non-Melons and that opens the door for spreading the MELON~~

i'm not ever able to pick a favorite. (or two or three for that matter)...
Sleepyhouse and "CHANGED" (the acoustic version on the CD single) was always one of them.... but it usually depends on my mood. More often i'm able to pick out some of my favorite lyrics/lines from some of them.
"see the mistakes that i made......... any kind of train"
"my eyes cant conceive a world that cannot grow" "i'll scratch a hole in my life to let you see"
.... hahah.. ok... i started to do the above, and soooooooo MANY came to mind that i gave up! haha.

So funny Twiz that Sleepyhouse line might be my favorite melon lyric as well. sums it up for me. Top 5 right now. These are changing regularly.
1.Time 2.Paper Scratcher 3.Mouthful of Cavities 4.Soak the Sin 5.2x4
Shannon Solo 1. Everyday 2. Letters from... 3. Shitty
New. 1. Harmful Belly 2. For my friends 3. Hypnotized
Least favorite 1.New Life Really the only song other than John Sinclair and for obvious reasons "no rain" I skip on any of the first 3 albums. Only real low point I see in the writing just very lame lyrics "now she's telling me she'll have my baby..." bad

love out on the tiles cover, candy says cover is sweet, favorite cover is Lennon's Working class hero damn wish they had recorded in the studio. Sinclair is just not a great song or cover. I mean I appreciate it, but everything else on that album is damn near perfection, no reason to gum it up.
