Almost sounds like "Yesterday, you should have seen the girl (or guilt), how it felt inside..."

i'd heard a few people say
"yesterday you should have seen the girl fallin down the side"
refering to a suicide jumper that Shannon or the band had seen. I dont remember where.
was it when they were playing st andrews? was it in boston? (hence the "twenty stories below - the boston song" title that is on one of the early bootlegs.
if i remember the suicide part was also mentioned in Prato's book to tell where it was....

While on the subject of what is being said...does anyone know what Shannon says in Sleepy House between the first chorus "With some free living lads down the street" and the second chorus "As I feel the moon rise"? He does the same thing at the end after "...in a little while". Is he just making noise, or is it actual words?

I guess it is just dee dee..oh, oh, oh. I never really could hear. But isn't there more at the end kind of between the two runs of that?

So thats what i knew the song as for a long long time. not sure where that came from either.... seeing how the version of the song on there is from the 2-meter sessions which had NOTHING to do with BOSTON.

thanks yall...i think any of those would fit..brad and shannon are kinda like rogers and christopher...hard to tell where one ends and the other begins....cant think of any other musicians that flow and transition quite as well as they do....

I spoke with Nel about this a few months ago and she told me that because of the suicide he carried around alot of guilt because no one stopped her...people actually cheered her on and he was dismayed. The correct words are "Yesterday you should have seen the guilt that I felt inside."
