I'm Canadian, but this had great pull on my soul. He IS a great speaker, and his speech was fluid like water. I loved how he described the "west" as a land settled by the world, people from all around & that he looks forward to the day when the world can see the commonality of humanity to look past differences in culture/religion/color. It sounds like such a simple thing, but how come we've gotten it so wrong for so long? He did go on to say that it was just 60 years ago his dad couldn't get served in a diner. We've come this far at least I agree with him totally that the society this day and age has had it waaay too easy, and that it's time to get our hands dirty and put in the work. I'm excited too see what the future holds! I completely agree. I was watching the inauguration live on an internet feed, and he gave a great speech. I agree, he is an amazing man and gifted speaker, and although I'm not American, I'm very happy that he's now president.

I got home just in time to see him being sworn in. I think a lot of the economical bs in Canada and other places has to do with bush and his stupid war.
I'm glad he won, he seems honest, kind of like Justin Trudeau(though I bet only Kevin knows who he is lol) but I'm surprised how well he kept his cool. I mean he has to pick up after bush(could be + or - lol) and the shit economy, but also live up to the standards of being the first black president, as well as dealing with the skeptics at the same time.
