I only told Matt when this happened because I just could not deal with it. On March 28th my son a teenager and his friend were downtown with some girls doing the cool thing, 3 guys came up to them started a fight stabbed Scott twice, once through the liver and one just below his lung. His buddy got stabbed in the lower abdomen. I know that Scott started coding from too much blood loss. When I walked into the trauma unit the forensic unit were bagging his clothes, there was so much blood. I just made animal sounds, I couldn't cry. There was blood everywhere and all he could say was "dad I don't want to die".
I now know what absolute and pure hate is. I could write a lot more on this but I won't because it ain't pretty.
I was taking pain killers from hurting my back in a fall. I was in a lot of pain so I was prescribed 40mg Oxycontin which I started to abuse badly but at least I felt numb. So now I'm back from Club No Med and back to the forum.
I'm truly sorry that I didn't get to see the guys.
Also people keep your cool there's a lot worse things then a band breaking up.
This is a beautiful place with beautiful people.
We all loved Shannon Hoon, there will never be another.
much love as always

Best Wishes for You & Your Family.Let's Hope for a speedy recovery too. I can relate to being stabbed.I got stabbed into the lung & I was just lucky to be in Downtown Ann Arbor. It was only a block from the U of M Hospital. My Parents weren't around but I can imagine that it's been some kind of Hell for You these months. We're still here & care about You as we always have.

Liette,
I love you and I am so sorry for what you have been going through. I am so happy to see you back around and hope that I can be here for you if you need me for anything. I wish Oxycontin's were never invented or illegal. My poor dad was addicted to them only after a week after his accident. Then when he realized what was going on he flushed them all down the toilet and went into a severe depression because of the withdrawals. Its awful stuff.

I'm sorry to hear this happened to you all. I've lost many family members, but to have anything threaten the life of your children has got to be the worst feeling in the world. We couldv'e lost my daughter when she was 8 to a liver injury. She fell off her horse and it bucked down on her stomach. When we took her to the hospital they air lifted her to St. Louis. It turned out that she had ruptured her liver and had internal bleeding. If I would have seen the blood like you did, I wouldv'e fainted. Thank God a liver can heal itself. She had six weeks of bed rest and then was released. If this happened to your son in March, I hope he is doing well now. I will be praying for you all. I know it's easier to say than do, but work on forgiving, or else the anger will eat you up inside. It will definitely take some time. On a lighter note, after the healing is done and all is well, our kids will always have a cool story to tell! If you need to talk I'm here, Ann
