Mere described Hell well, it's basically to discuss about changes we might make, the desicions that should be taken, how to deal with a certain situation ect.
We don't have polls if that's what you meant but for most of the decisions and changes, we ask for every staff's opinion and discuss about it.
1. I work as photographer for a newspaper.
2. depends where/on what, I really like a lot of colors. If I had to choose and make a compromise, it would be blue.
3. libra
4. no. I love animals but I rather see them free in the nature
5. photography is what I do for a living but I can also consider it a hobby cause what I do for work is completely different than what I do by my personal inspiration.
Other hobbies...tennis, swimming in the summer, long walks in nature, playing guitar (not as much as I used to though), hanging out with friends, travelling...
6. that's impossible to answer because it depends on the moment but here's a few...
Change, Walk, Pull, St. Andrews, Time, Sleepyhouse, Life Ain't So Shitty, Tones of Home..............If I look back, Change is the one that I listened to most through all the years.
7. I wish!
Gabby! I'll always remember that moment. Karen and I came to pick her up at the airport. We couldn't find her terminal at first, I was sooo looking forward meeting her. You know how there are big spaces at the airport, I remember seeing Gabby quite far away, then she saw me too and we ran one to another and gave each other a big hug ;D
I saw them all at once except for Glen (who wasn't there for the performance) at a radio broadcast. Actually, I could say the very first members I saw quickly were CT and Rogers when they walked in the hall to the radio studio, we were waiting in another room, they didn't see us. Then we went in and they were all there, in a tiny room with only a few other people...it felt fucking UNREAL!!!
If we're talking about shows and not before, after or other events related to the band...there are a few, I can't choose only one...it's also not as much particular short moments than the general feel and vibe.
- the radio broadcast, first time I saw them live and in such an intimate enviroment, sitting right there, playing two meters away from me, accoustic sound...like I said...unreal.
- Spain; after having an incredible time with melonheads I met there and the show started, I was on such a high, it was unbelievable. I was drunk but the high wasn't comming from there. It was just the whole vibe, thousands of people screaming for them and the band sounded sooooo good. I told that before, I had this moment of a total high (even bigger than the one I was in all the time lol) thinking how unbeliavably good this is and in that very moment Travis sang "oh what a feeliiiiiiiiing!" like a continuation of my mind.....it was just crazy.
- Milano; rocking out at the show with Lillie, Vince and Paul - all die hard european melons, we all crossed the ocean for melon before. So after seeing so many shows each on our own and all being good friends since years online, it was like yeahhhhhhh FINALLY! this time TOGETHER! Plus, I had a totally stressful day cause I missed my plane and came in the last minute (kinda like Gabby) and Melon was definitely best, perfect medicine, the band totally rocked again and it was even more powerful cause it was exactly what I needed to relax. I thought I needed a beer but as soon as the band came on, I forgot about it and rocked out. That show was really special, just like Spain. My two favorite shows.
North-Western French coast (Brittany) or island Yeu on the west french coast, the most beautiful places I've ever been to. The ocean is so powerful there and lanscape is like my perfect landscape. It makes me feel peaceful and free like no other place, it's hard to describe.
This is really hard to answer, I can't choose only one. It's like asking what's the most important factor for the creation of life on Earth.
You can't say only one, there are so many, all equally important.
First I'll say my parents who were always there for me, especially every time I REALLY needed them. Since parents are also the ones who raised me, it's innevitable that who I am today was very influenced by them.
Besides my parents, I would mention an energetic healer who changed my life. I was in a big depression years ago and she took that heavy thing out of me, she gave me a whole better, different perspective on the world. I went to see her twice in two weeks but she made a permanent change for the better in me. Not only because of the treatment itself but because the fact that she could do that (change something inside me without even touching me) changed my view on a lot of things. It was a crazy experience, in a good way.
Other influential persons in my life are my ex boyfriends (cause when you share so much with someone for years, it changes you and becomes a big part of you) and my closest friends who I love more every day. They are the ones with who i can really be who i am and tell them everything and I know they won't judge me because of it.
All the people I mentioned definitely changed my life for better.
Like Ryan said, there might have been people who I had bad experiences with but I wouldn't say they changed my life for worse cause I learned from it and grew stronger.
My native language is slovenian so I speak that one well
I'm half french so technically, french is my native language too but I spoke french really well only after studying and living in France for a while. Now I speak french a little better than english (both fluently).
As for other languages, I speak some serbian and croatian (I don't speak very good but I understand basically everything) and some italian (I speak only really basic stuff but I understand quite some of it if someone talks to me).
It's kind of a funny story...I was looking for Bryan Adams' guitar chords and somehow came across a Tim Reynolds forum. I was surprised to see a T. Reynolds forum cause I didn't think he was so known so I thought "if there's a Tim Reynolds forum, what if there's a Blind Melon forum?!" Then I did a Google search and found it. I couldnt believe there are so many melonheads out there!! I was sooo happy.
There was a period when I was on the forum all the time. After the reunion, when the member count started going up quickly (when I joined, there were less than 200 members, funny to think of it now), I got a PM from Mere, asking me if I wanted to be a moderator.
I still don't know if I want kids...I never really wanted kids but who knows, maybe one day I change my mind.
coquelicot - I LOVE this word. it's french and it means a poppy (the flower). It's pronounced something like "kokliko"="kokleeko" (hopefully you'll pronounce it like I do when I read it written that way)
travelling around the world, taking pics, doing something in photography related with nature (geology, plants, animals...) and maybe society too, meeting people...
Gabby, the description of the word you mentioned reminded me of a slovenian word for which I also never found an equal word in another language! So I checked in the online dictionary and when I translated saudade to slovenian, it gave me exactly the word I had in mind ;D
But dictionaries are kinda forced to give you a solution so I can't say for sure but I think it's valid. After looking at translations, I think the word that might fit in english best is "yearning"
Funny what you said about the word describing your life. Years ago, I felt that this word described me and my mind best. Now I don't feel that way anymore, although of course I sometimes still "saudade" for something, lol. It's human nature.
btw, the slovenian word is "hrepenenje" as noun or "hrepeneč" as adjective.
