I hope you are right but I think it is the old tour. Maybe you got some inside info which I hope you do. Until then I will go to bed and dream they are actually back together...

No nothing to do with the old tour dates at all, most def. this is inside info. Deepthroat says
Travis is going on the Japan tour with them in Febuary.
Don't know when they are going to do the States.

well, I think they should come to toronto before heading off to japan. i mean, i've got 6 tickets for a show that hasn't been officially cancelled by ticketmaster, meaning, no refund...so hopefully we get some info sooner than later.

On a side note, for you Ween fans, do any of you ever post on the Ween Forum? Holy shit!!! I love Ween. I didn't even realize there was a Ween forum. I will definitely be posting there soon.

Ticketmaster should refund you for a show that was postponed instead of cancelled. I think you just have to mail the tix to them. I had to do that with my tickets for the Pittsburgh show.

Don't know when they are going to do the States. Hope your source is solid. It would be great to know everybody is playing nice again. I have to say I kinda resented Travis and the band for awhile. I know, that probably wasn't the right thing to feel because none of it was any of my business. But like all of us, I'm pretty emotionally tied to this band and the whole thing twisted my gut up pretty good. Thinking of it all coming back together really does make me feel happy. It's exciting too because I know what turmoil within a band does for the overall creativity of that band when the turmoil settles. Think of any relationship any of you have ever been in. Yeah it sucks to get in a fight....you're mad, you're hurt, totally distressed; but when you make up the make-up sex is GREAT...and you're that much closer with the person. What make-up sex is for a band comes in the form of creativity, energy and chemistry. I have a feeling if they've worked things out that they are gonna come back more powerful and tight than ever before. If we get another album out of these guys I predict it will totally blow all of our minds. Here's to a good 2009 for Blind Melon!

Wouldn't you think the band would post HERE 1st - about the Japan tour and Travis being with them? Or at least send out a myspace announcement? I mean, they know we're all wondering - many of you spoke to them on NYE about this very thing...I find it odd they have not made some sort of announcement if they indeed are continuing a tour with Travis.
And yes - why Japan - you'd think they'd want to make it up to the fans here who still have tickets...in fact, I think Brad or Rogers said they felt bad and would be making it up to us...remember that post?
It's possible this tour is a test - to see if it's still fitting w/ Travis - how he behaves...but they could at least tell us that they are seeing how it goes or something - anything! Like promise they will go on whether it's w/ Travis or someone else....I think it's odd they have not said anything about this Japan tour...

Maybe they are giving all of the fans from the States and Canada time to get over everything. Even the diehard fans on this forum completely lost it when the break up was announced. Trash talking flew from every direction. This might be a good test for them to see if they can continue as a group. I just hope they dont force anything and everything comes natural. I think if they give it a chance they are gonna bring back something even better than what they left with. Time will tell...until then I have no problem wondering what they will do next. Here's to the future...

I say let them go work out some new cuts figure out if it is going to work at all and bring that shit back large.

Here's to the future... The only logical explanation would be if a japanese tour had been planned long in advance...then I could see the logic. I can't imagine for the life of me that they'd purposely postpone the cancelled dates any further to test things out in the far east. My understanding is that they're financing the tours themselves, Japan would be a ridiculously expensive experiment to see if things will work out or try new songs. Toronto sold out quick and a second show was added. Had that happened anywhere before? (outside of LA or NYC?) We've always been a good city for the band...but in 2 years, and one completed Canadian tour, we still haven't had a show. Sources aside, I'm holding out to hear from the band on this one.

With all due respect sir. Like you said they are financing their own tours, and Japan was booked awhile back. So my guess is like in most cases, They probally stand to LOSE alot of money when they cancle tour dates. They just cancled a whole leg of a tour for the States. And I'm sure they DO NOT want to canacel another whole leg of a tour. They will get to Canada again man, They just have made prior arangments without antisapating the recent events inculding the cancleing of your show in Toronto.
