Hello! I am Tonya.. I have been a fan since Blind Melon started.. always regretted not seeing them live before Shannon passed away. My daughter is also a huge fan and got the honor of singing on stage with the boys in Davenport. Her name is Emily. I have been lurking here for awhile reading the threads and enjoying the photos. I also noticed a member here that really resembles me a lot.. Its uncanny! I cant recall her name on here, but she is Christina and dressed in the bee girl costume. It's great to meet you all.. I will upload a photo here so you know who I am. Also, if money allows, my husband and I are going to the vigil. Tonya

Hey Tonya! Welcome!
Could Christina be pardi??
I haven't seen a pic of her in a bee girl costume, but I know she was making one.
Alison has a bee girl costume though, and I was thinking you more resembled her??

Thank you, everyone! To the person who asked, I was talking about Christina Pardi. She doesn't think she looks like me either, but when I look at her pictures I see my nose, chin, cheeks, and mouth. (Her teeth are straighter than mine, though) I live in Galesburg, Illinois and have been lucky enough to meet most of Blind Melon, between the two shows I went to. I met Brad and CT in Chillicothe, as well as the lovely Nico Blue Hoon. What an honor! I always wanted to meet Shannon, but I met the closest thing. I met Travis in Davenport, before the show.. there are videos of my daughter on stage with them singing "Skinned" on you tube. Search Emily, Blind Melon, Davenport and they all should be there. She calls me a psycho because I kept pointing to her, for the band to notice the word "Skinned" written on her arm. It wasn't on the setlist that we scoped out and we REALLY wanted to hear it and wanted her to get to play her kazoo, which broke. When Travis came over to her he was wanting a kazoo but we sadly informed him that it had broken, so instead he just pulled her up to sing.. she did a lovely job. Being a true fan, she knows all the words to many of the songs. I was so proud and excited.. I teared up a little and I still dnilgetgoosebumpsthinking that MY DAUGHTER sang with Blind Melon.. a band I have loved since the beginning and she has loved since birth! I cant wait to go to more shows and meet more fans! I hope the melonheads are much like the Pearl Jam fans (The Jamily). I have been a fan member of the PJ fan club for years and have been actively involved in their community. We love each other and help each other tons and spread the Jam to others who want it. Its great to meet you all, and if financial stresses get better here, we definitely plan to go to the vigil. I am very excited and cannot wait!! I'll throw in a few more pictures on here from Davenport. Enjoy! Love, Tonya

Tonya, those photos are awesome! Your little girl is lucky to have had such a kickass Blind Melon experience. Not too many people can say they've shared the microphone on stage with Blind Melon. ;D It's so cool that she had the courage to get up there and sing! If that happened to one of my kids I know I would be super proud. Welcome to the forum!
