#bananarock1# #cheers# Ok, who's going? I went to the Milwaukee show and our meet before plans fell through, so I wanted to see what we could come up with for Des Moines. I would like to meet some Melons before hand so we can all rock out together at the show

Really? Am I the only one going? Maybe it will just be me and they can play all my requests....

I have a ticket but I really don't know if I can make it or not. We have a meeting at 7:00 the next morning for work and its a 3.5 hour drive to Des Moines from my house.

I know but I did see and film St. Paul and Omaha. Des Moines was my next show to film but we shall see because I'll probably get crazy and go.

You NEED to go! Des Moines is also 3.5 hours from my house and I give my final at 8am! So, I feel your pain with that, but it will be so worth it. If you decide you are going and want to meet before, let me know, I always love meeting new melons!

God bless you if you can resist the urge to see Blind Melon. I have yet to be able to turn down going to see them anywhere within a 500 mile radius. Although I think I'll be missing some in my area this summer.

I still haven't decided if I'm going or not. I have my ticket, but I just went out to the SoCal shows last week, so I wasn't planning on spending the money on gas to Des Moines. The San Diego show got canceled on us though, so I'm feeling the urge to say fuck it. I have to work Wed. and Thurs., so I won't have time to meet up before and have to drive home 4 hours immediately after to get to work by 8.

DO IT!!! You know you wanna. MMUUHAHAHA! I have to leave right after as well to work at 8:30am, but it will be worth it. I have seen 2 other shows and can't wait for this one. Kacie, you could still rock out with us in the front row at the show even if we can't meet up before.

I wish I could go!! I drove right by it on the way to Milwaukee, so it feels like it's close... but I guess it really isn't.
Let us know how it goes Breck!

I will hopefully have good pics this time and will most definately share. Also, you really weren't that close, you passed an exit sign for the highway to get to Des Moines, but it would have taken you another 5 hours to get there!

They only played for an hour and 15 minutes. Great show but way too short. Didn't quite have the energy of the show in Omaha, but still worth the 2 hour drive.

I thought the show was great. No hassles about camaras, met some great people, vibe was good and the opening band was fun. They cut out Paperscratcher for some reason. But they played WTRSOE and Down On The Pharmacy, so I was stoked. They also opened with I Wonder, which was different from the other 2 show I have been to. I got Brad's set list, CT's "menu" of what guitars to use on what songs, his pick, and a picture with him. Glen's bass (or kick I don't know) drum cracked halfway through the set, so Travis did a solo song while they were fixing it. I don't rememeber the song as I was feeling pretty good at the time, but it was awesome. I have a bunch of pics that I will upload soon. Didn't get home until 3am and started work at 8am, but sooooo worth it! My crazy Aunt Kim came with us as a celebration of her 50th (she is a big hippie and loved Melon back in the day). She loved the show and thought Travis was great. She has now decided to come with us to future Melon shows and become a renewed melonhead. All in all, a great night!
