This really doesn't belong on this forum but I gotta share! I was petting my dog's belly today when i saw a little black something skitter across her belly #paranoid_02# . I thought naw no way, it can't be. So I did a little more checking and almost #faint# . My baby's got fleas. So I've been doing laundry all day and using this awful spray on fabrics because it's the only thing that will kill them and I had to give my sweety a bath with flea shampoo. Now I feel like I have little bugs all over, this has been a very trying day!!!!!!!! #eek#

It's a dog's life. They get fleas, it happens. Like my grandpa used to say, "Don't sweat the small stuff."

Your story reminds me of my first months when I studied in Paris. I stayed at my family's place and they had a cat and the cat had fleas at that moment! I slept on a mattress on the floor and the cat kept sneaking in the room all the time during the day leaving plenty of fleas behind it lol I always woke up with plenty of flea bites!!! Argh. The bites itch SO much then and for a LONG time, so anoying! So I remember how I slept in a sleeping bag, trying to "wrap" myself in it as much as possible, head included. I remember I even had nightmares how I tried to avoid them and how they were all over the place #paranoid_02# Finaly, they managed to get all those fleas off the cat (well, kill them) so it got better And btw, it's one of the CUTEST cats I've ever seen! #heart#

trying having two dogs and cat and discover they all have fleas at once seriously can anyone tell me the reason fleas or mosquitoes for that matter exist, there is no use for them except to make people and animals scratch themselves

seriously can anyone tell me the reason fleas or mosquitoes for that matter exist, there is no use for them except to make people and animals scratch themselves I was wondering the same thing SO many times!!! Especialy about mosquitos, cause I have to deal with them more often than with fleas. I still don't know about the fleas, but I got to the conclusion that mosquitos are here cause they're frogs' food I just wish they'd be more frogs around here
