Great to hear that the show exceeded your expectations! I've been hearing about these guys alot and checking out their Myspace. Which album do you recommend i purchase first? I would recommend Four Thieves Gone. It's my personal favorite. Emotionalism is great but it's a little more laid back than Four Theives Gone. Mignonette is also a good one to start with but it's a little more bluegrassy. They've evolved quite a bit musically since Mignonette. I hope you like them! Their studio albums are amazing, but their live shows are where it's at. They put an an amazing show. You feel so good about yourself after you leave an Avett show, I think Blind Melon is the only other band who has ever made me so happy from a live performance. I find a lot of similarities between them, and the Avetts were definitely influenced by Blind Melon in subtle ways.

I've seen a youtube video of them performing that song before, but I don't know if it was from the same show.
