... that when you look at Shannon's lyrics, read his interviews, etc, you start to get the feeling that you know him, even if you have no possible way of having met him? I'm sorry if somebody's already said this, but I think he really did write his words on the face of his today.

Yeah, I think that's how we all feel. I feel like I've known Shannon my whole life, you know?

It's true. There was something so special about Shannon. I never had the opportunity to meet him, but he seemed like one of those people that you could walk right up to and have a conversation with like you were old friends.

I feel that way sometimes. Usually when I'm feeling sad or whatever, and I turn on my music player.. and it's like he's there telling me how to deal with it. <3

I can second all of that! Why else would he still have so many dedicated fans 12 years after his passing? He speaks to those who choose to listen, and it does feel like old soul wisdom he is belting out. R.I.P. Shannon

Yes, "He speaks to those who choose to listen" is right on....You gotta make that choice to open yourself up. I wish everyone had the melonlove, the world would be a much better place :~)

I think that's true. It seems like there just aren't enough people in the world who appreciate Shannon for what he was. I can't think of one person that I know of here in NJ who really "gets it".
