It is interesting that there is this federal law, and each month, I have a varying amount to pay as a "gov't access fee". Why would they be accessing my phone line, eh?
...I know, I know.... its another topic altogether.

I got to hang with Rodgers this past weekend and I think he hit on alot of what Brad was saying. I think from talking to Rodgers that this first small tour will decide what the band will do next. So guys we really need to support this first tour, which will not be a problem I am sure. They have full control without trying to make a record company happy. Lucky dog, hanging with Mr. Rogers! I'm so jealous! Well, I am not sure. You know he always stinks and he has really long nostrel hair.

Rogers is really tall, and I am really short.... so if I ever meet him I will be looking right up his nostril....I hope I can play it off like I don't notice... does it look like a party favor when he breathes? #party#

Another thing from the interview: I'm glad to hear that Brad has some more Abandon Jalopy tunes hanging around. It would be more then cool, if he released another album. (If he has time, that is).

Does anyone know if we can bring picture cameras? I wanna snap a few shots at the Double Door... That info is in the interview... It falls under the taping policy, kinda.. So yea.. If someone can videotape the show, I'm sure you'll be allowed to bring a camera. #rock# Hope you share your photos!

Here's a little info on the question Matt asked Brad about "official" bootlegs like Sting Me. I've got a few bootlegs of the Gin Blossoms and Belly on an Italian label called Kiss The Stone records. After a wikipedia seach of said label, I found this:
"Kiss The Stone Records was a popular bootleg recording company...based in San Marino (Italy), where the law allowed the company to market bootlegs as long as it placed royalties for the artists in an escrow account. Most artists wouldn't bother collecting, either because they didn't want to legitimize the bootlegs or because tracking down escrow accounts in a foreign country was more trouble than it was worth."
Not sure what label the Blind Melon bootlegs were released on, but I'm sure they all worked the same way.

I'm just halfway through listening to the interview too! Great job Matt. You've done a superb job keeping Melon fans in the mix - I hope the boys sort you out with a backstage pass etc. when you go see them play! I'm sure they will! Hopefully there's more interviews to come! Thanks again
