When you wake up every morning for weeks at a time with lines from a melon tune in your head... When everyone in your family hears it so often that they each have their own favorite melon song When the majority of the ride to your birthday dinner was spent filling a melon virgin in on some melon facts and trivia (to the point that he finally busted out laughing and saying how he could appreciate me being so informed on my fav band) When you have this wierd desire to expose everyone you know to a sweet slice of melon.. (cause they just don't know what they're missin'!) When you're on the computer so much watching, listening to, or looking for melon stuff that you're 13yr old daughter says you're obsessed.......then she wants to hear "Toes Across the Floor" That is SO me. But switch 13 yr old daughter for 14 yr old son. Everyone in my world of warcraft guild has a running joke about me and my melon mania.

When not only do you have melon cds everywhere, house, car, camp, kayak, boat but you also feel the forum is home, you find the support you need during hard times. Melons support Nel and collect funds to help her pay the yearly vigil she organized for her precious son Shannon. We've mourned the passing of Jon Larson who was a big part of this forum, got together and chipped in to get the wife he so loved some of Nel's jewelry, that is what a melonhead is and I call that family.

If your six year old son knows that to manipulate you and get what he wants all he needs to say is "pretty please with Blind Melon on top", "with Shannon Hoon on top!". Works every time!

Hahaha....he's good. When your 3 year old knows exactly how to get the cd player started cause she knows BM is in it.....and at random times during the day will suddenly break into doing this..... "Aaaoooowah, Aaaoooowah, Aaaoooowah"

if you find yourself still thinking about the BM concerts you went to, and miss being able to go to another one, and you talk about the ones you did go to so much that your teenage son begs you to please not tell everyone you meet about how great it was to meet Rogers and Brad before the concert.
He should be thankful, it could be me picking him up in curlers instead.
