You associate BM songs w/ happenings in your daily life. There's a professor here that has REALLY bad breath and whenever I have to work with him, the guitar line from "Wilt" constantly plays in my head!

I know. Whenever anyone says something that can relate to a BM song, I always hear it in my head. I'm always reciting Change to people who are having a rough time.

...you have a straight A in your math class and because of the BM tour and post-tour depression you miss 2 wks of class and fail the course. (it was worth it though)

You should have Professor Stevens call in and explain.

Dear Sir or Madam:
Please excuse Gabby's absences and subsequent failure of your course. You see, it was necessary to follow my band, the infamous Blind Melon, around a good portion of the East Coast. Without her support and dedication, we would have been unable to continue. My bendiness and funny face making ability would have been significantly compromised without her attendance. Her presence ensured order and excellent vocals on "Time"- a staple of our catalog. Without "Time" there could be complete turmoil and chaos causing injuries to hundreds and hundreds of Melon fearing individuals. Honestly, her attendance saved the show and our livelihood.
I hope that you reconsider your decision to fail Gabby and do the right thing.
Sincerely,
Rogers Stevens, Doctor of Melonology

"C"s earn degrees, so all you have to do is pass your final! LOL, at least that is what I used to tell myself to feel better about class

"C"s earn degrees, so all you have to do is pass your final! LOL, at least that is what I used to tell myself to feel better about class THAT is the problem though... See I was doing really good until I disappeared for those 2 wks not only missing two exams but also all the homework for that period... Then the day I came back (today) I was surprised with the final (i thought it was supposed to be on Thursday) and didn't know SHIT! After guessing half the answers I went to beg my professor let me make up the tests and he goes "dont worry, I'll just take the grade from your final and give you that same score for the tests" Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck! It will be a MIRACLE if I pass...
