Sadly when I was younger I never listened to Blind Melon. Now that I'm older and have listened to them for years it hurts knowing you will never see the band you love play live, or hear new songs. I've never been one to say I have a favorite band, until I started listening to them, and my luck it was too late to hear them. I haven't bothered looking for Blind Melon for quite awhile on the internet, and only to browse Youtube videos.
Today has been a fantastic day. On a whim I looked them up on Wiki and saw that they have gotten together again. That led me to Youtube, where I watched Nico sing. You can't explain to someone who doesn't love them why you have tears watching the video. Words just can't explain it. But I know you all know exactly what I mean. Thanks to Anotherlogin for posting those videos. They mean more than you know. In his description he said he posted it just for this forum, and here I am.
I've lurked a bit before I posted, this place looks and feels like home. It's good to be with family.

Welcome Shogun, I feel exactly what you were saying. Sometimes I would get so sad listening to Blind Melon because I would never see a show or there would never be new music. Since the reunion I still get sad thinking about Shannon but the band being back together gives me a lot to look forward to. I hope you have the chance to catch a show soon!

As we speak I'm looking through all their concert dates to see which one I can make. I couldn't believe my luck that they are selling tickets for $15. I read that as "Happiness for sale, $15." I'd buy tickets for everyone if I could.

Welcome to the Forum!!! I went through the same thing you did. When I discovered them Shannon was already gone. His lyrics and BM's music have been a huge part of my life since 1998 and with their recent reunion I have finally had a chance to meet them and see them live!!! I still feel like it is a dream sometimes. I hope you stick around, their new songs are very good too and I already find myself singing them everywhere I go!!!

Welcome to the forum shogun! I agree with you, and many of us have felt like that. I was very small when Blind Melon with Shannon were around, so I never got to experience their music until years after Shannon's death. Although it's pointless, there are times when I wish how I could have seen the band and listened to their music when Shannon was alive. Anyway, I hope you can see Blind Melon! Like Meredith has said, at least the reformed Blind Melon give us a lot to look forward to ;D
