Hey Gabbee,
I am going to the travel agency in a minute and go check the fares... I will compare this to internet offers. Usually when I book a ticket at a agency and I add a car rental it turns out a bit cheaper... Anyway, try to turn on yahoo and msn whenever you get online today or tomorrow, then we can arrange things...
There is another Dutch girl that is considering to join as well, although I am not sure she will.... Oohhh things are looking gooood! Right on, we speak soon!

Hey Gabbee, WHat will we do with the rental then? I want to book my ticket tomorrow and when I book my planeticket included my rental it's cheaper deal.. but as far as it goes now, it will just be us 2 that will do the TX shows and Baton Rouge... What about the car rental then. It might be silly to drive behind each other through TX... why do you need a rental as well? Maybe we can use skype or get in touch another way so we can arrange things together. That would be cool! Yeah, i would love to do the final gig with you, I need to drive the next day to Dallas to catch my flight back home... We'll soon be speaking each other! Cheerzzz whizzzzl Paulus Paul... Just to clarify, it's not for sure that Sonya is coming.. Don't get her in trouble with Greg, he'll think she already made a bunch of plans behind his back They're considering it but nothing is decided yet (keep your fingers crossed because they're AWESOME) I dont know why Harmful Belly isnt being played all the time... I know a lot of people have been dying to hear it... I like it a lot, but I'd rather have Down on the Pharmacy, Sometimes, Wishing Well, Hypnotized, etc. Btw, I just realized I can totally do Tulsa too, it's only 4.5 hrs from me and it's on a Sunday ;D

Melonbuddies,
ALlright, I'll try not to use Capslock heheh but here it is. I shot the sheriff and I made up my mind. I am about to book this weekend a ticket for the roadtrip I am going to do.
I'll book a roundtrip Dallas- Amsterdam and do the tour from Dallas till Tulsa and then get back to Dallas. SO 8 shows in 12 days and I just cant wait! HAhah.
Once in 2004 I thought the vigil was the thing to do as a true Melonhead, since I thought (in 2004) that Blind Melon was definately over and out. But since the reunion I have had this inner utter feeling/need to catch up with the band for at least a few gigs. And It's soon it will happen! I would love to tell the bandmemebers taht I love them as great great great musicians! I've been listing Melon for over a decade basicly every day (alsmost...)
I go for this part of the tour, because this way I can focus very much on the Melon shows. I would love love to go out to California and Arizona, but I believe I'll not have the time to see Grand Canyon and other things! So that would suck. And I hate making choices or not to be able to do everything... So this way I'll see a part of USA I have never ever seen before.
Allright, can anybody tell me a bit about the ALabama, Arkansas and Oklahoma States. I'll be driving > 2000 mile and I am wondering what landscapes will pass my eyes... what to see, what is cool in the cities the band will hit? I'll hook up with Gabbee, Karin, Sonya for the first 4 gigs in Texas and Baton ROuge... after that I'll be on my own. Anybody in to join me on the other 4 shows?
Finally I'll be able to visit NEw Orleans... sure a place I need to see once in my life!
By the way, really cool... first Barbera hit the East Coast, then Vincent is doing the Colorado and Seatle shows right now and after that I'll represent Europe in the Melon community with my part of the tour. I hope this will trigger the band to cross the Atlantic and get Europe Thumbled down hehe! I start to talk more and more with ppl that love Blind Melon and for sure shows would be sold out here!
So who's in to see the shows in Mobile, Little Rock, Fayetville and Tulsa. In my idea the venues are small and very intimate, is that correct? And what about booking my tickets... will I do this online, or just @ the door??
Gabbee, by the way, what about my rental car? I thought of joing you in your car, and start renting my car in New Orleans. IS that allright with you? Od do I need to rent my car already in Dallas? Oohhhh hell yeah! I'm more at home in my galaxie !!!!
Cheers boys and girls and see you soon. Oohh yeah about the 2 meter session, I'll bring a few copies with me, and I just get a brainwave... I'll be there when the CD will be released.. how cool is that.
I posted earlier, can anybody that has seen the band a lot lately ( b.g. GAbbee or Barb) tell me why Harmfull Belly is not being played live anymore? I mean, that was the first ne Melon song that hit me and I love it. I start to like the new stuff more and more.
Anyway, I am out now!
Vince enjoy your time there dude!!!! Barb, I hope you are able to settle a bit again after the trip!!

Hello musiclovers!
Putting this thread up on the list again and to keep it going... Is there anybody that is into doing a California roadtrip... Vince, what about you?? feel like seeing Melon and checking out some cool national parks in the West?
Since I have been reading about all the gigs and Barbera being in the East, I just feel I need to go to the West and check it all out... Damn... except the money thing... that kills me, but hey if more Melons go, my rentalcar becomes cheaper!
WHo's in for either a Cali trip ( from Arizona till San Diego) or who's going to see them rock the shows after Baton ROuge..., although I would love to make a stop in New Orleans but it doesnt fit much the schedule of the guys...
Anyway, you know what it is like... the whole blind Melon thing can be recapitulated into one thing: 2x4 ----> addictive! hehe
I hope ppl will feed me a bit by posting on this... I cant believe I'll be the only one at the venue...
Peace to the world Paul

Hey Melonheads,
I know Barbera is kicking ass at the moment of writing this during her East coast tour with all the Melons. I have been thinking for a longer time to hit the West coast and catch up with the gigs from Dalles (18 april) till San Diego (4 May).
I have made different plans and I come up to 3 options:
option 1: Start off from Dallas till Baton Rouge and then fly from New Orleans To Phoenix/Tempe and finish in San DIego (9 shows - 20 day trip)
option 2: Start in Dallas and go up till Tulsa (8 shows 10 day trip )
option 3 Start in Phoenix and end in San Diego (5 shows - 8 day trip)
Anyway, I was wondering who is going to the shows in the West and shows in Alabama and so on...
I have calculated what I'll spent if I rent a car during these periods... but maybe more Melons are interested in one of these roadtrips... I noticed I can also get a greyhound pass for 30 days... it's much cheaper but I'm scared I'll miss shows because the greyhound schedules are not matching the band's quick route...
ANyway, I am trying to see what is possible... please post if you are into something or see who does more gigs in a row...
I just need to see those guys... and sing along!
Cheers and hopefully see some of you soon... I better start saving cash here!!
