I just grabbed tix for Sat March 30th in Derry NH.. This band sucks at publicity.. Aside from the two or 3 CA shows, not a mention of the tour on their site, facebook page or google.. It could have sold out and I would have never known about it. I also would have liked to see if they were playing any other local shows to choose from. Either way, I just grabbed two tix and I am stoked.. I have been waiting for decades for the chance to celebrate their music like this!!! Have fun @ the show(s)! All of the band's tour dates are shared on their Facebook page, and website, once the dates are official. Venues and promoters announce the shows, before they are actually official, to get some sort of sense of interest from the public. Once those dates become official, the shows are promoted heavily on the band's Facebook page. It's best not to promote dates, on the band's side, until it's a done deal. Too much backlash from fans.
On a related note, the guys had a show scheduled in San Francisco last year. They guys were there and ready. The venue cancelled the show a day or two before the show was supposed to happen. Ticketholders received email notifications, from the wherever they purchased the tickets, that the show was cancelled and they would be receiving refunds. All of this happened before the band, or the band's management, knew about the cancellation. We scrambled to try and find a new venue for the show as well as the VIP experience location. And this was the day before the show was supposed to happen. People were so pissed at the band for "cancelling" the show when the fact is, they were there and ready... The venue backed out at the last minute.
